Dipper's (POV)

After dinner with my family and Wendy, I sat there on top on the roof, and looked out at the setting sun. I don't know how long it was until I heard footsteps coming up behind me. I turned to see Wendy there, and I smiled. She was holding her guitar. I raised my eye brown in confusion before she spoke up.

"Hey dude, mind if I sit here?"

"Nah, go on ahead."

"Thanks."

When she sat down, she pulled out her guitar and started to play in small short notes.

"Hey Wendy?"

She turned to me and spoke up.

"Yeah?"

"Why did you bring up your guitar?"

She hastened for a second before speaking up again.

"Well, let's just say that, I kinda wrote a song awhile I was out of town."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"I would love to hear it."

She blushed deeply before she spoke up.

"I guess I could."

I nodded and she started to play the guitar. When she started to sing, I couldn't be anymore impressed with the song she wrote.

"I know it seems so wrong, to love someone so far."

"But I can't help but wish to be where you are."

"And hold you in my arms, like I did before."

"And I was so scared, to tell you just how much I really care."

"But deep down I knew, I loved you."

"Even if I said, I was too old."

"Because I knew in my heart, that I would see you soon."

"I would search far and wide, just to be by your side."

"No one will change my mind, because I know it's true."

"I am thankful for many things."

"I am thankful for just being here."

"I am thankful just to get to see you."

"I am thankful for your love."

"Even if it seems like we are torn apart."

"I will never stop hoping."

"That you are willing, to do what I would do."

"If it means just to see you."

"Cause we got a lot to give."

"And I won't stop loving you."

"Even if you say to."

"Cause I would look far and wide, just to be by your side."

"No one will change my mind, because I know it's true."

"I'm thankful for you."

When she stopped I hugged her tight. She smiled and hugged me back just as tight. We didn't even realize how long we were hugging for, but I didn't care. I loved her, and I couldn't be happier to have her here for Thanksgiving. Now if only we could have her here for Christmas.
