(Paul)

We get off the plane in London and I run to the nearest telephone. "Hello I'd like to make a long distance call to Westchester New York please...That's in America."

"Yes love, that will be 1.50 please insert your coins now." 1.5 pounds... Prudence is worth it. "Your call will now be directed."

I look behind me and see my band mate's and their special people with their suitcases, and mine. Waiting to see if there's any news. "Hello how my I direct your call."

"Hello... Um the Hospital please." There's silence on the other end, "I'm sorry... Maternity ward. Thank you very much." There's more waiting and then an older woman picks up the phone. "Can I talk to Prudence Kilby please."

"You must be Paul. She's been waiting for a call from you. One moment please." I hear shuffling and clanging and then my little angels voice.

"Hello Darling. How was the flight?"

"Fine fine... how is everything did the tests come back?" After that night at the concert the only time Pru left the hospital was to transfer to the one closer to her home. She's been there for a week and I haven't heard anything that's going on.  We are filming this week and so I couldn't stay there with her...though I wish I could have.

"Yes...It was a combination of dehydration and the damage from the cut on my stomach. They told me there's going to be more pain throughout the pregnancy as my stomach stretches the scar out, because it hasn't fully healed. They put me on a medication for the pain and have me hooked up to an IV. I should be able to fly our this weekend. Dad's already packing all of my things and sending it out." I smile and lean against the wall, feeling like I can finally relax. "Darling you must be so tired... I wan't you to get onto London's schedule. Don't worry about me. I'll be fine."

I hear her yawing and wish I could see that face she makes, when her eyes squish up and she looks like a tired puppy. I look at the clock on the wall, "It's only eleven here. But it was kind of a...restless flight. 17 hours of not being able to talk to my angel...I really needed to hear your voice love."

"Five hours...There's a five hour time difference, its 6 here right now. I needed to hear your voice to Darling. Good luck tomorrow... call me if you have a chance to. I need to go now." She gasps..."I love you."

"I love you too, take care angel. Tell your dad hi from all of us." I hang up the phone and fall to the floor with my back against the wall. All this worrying has got me worn out, the others help me to the car and the smell and sound of London wake me up. "It's good to be home... maybe now I can get a decent cup of tea."

The boys laugh and we all pile into a car. "How is she?" Lucy asks.

"She sounds a lot better, she should be able to fly out this weekend. You're dad is sending all your stuff too." She smiles at me and lays her head on Georges shoulder. I look around at my friends, we've all been worried and now things are looking up. I start counting down the hours until this weekend and the minutes until tomorrow when I can call and hear her voice again.
