Deafening silence - fan fiction
"Hey!" Delilah screamed walking into my room. My step-dad rolled his eyes and left, he was extremely happy to get rid of me but my mum however wasn't as happy. I watched the tears fall from her eyes as she stood there watching Delilah and I finish packing. "I'm so excited!" She screamed and we started dancing around my room. We sung out loud and danced around the room hyper trying to pack.
"You girls got your instruments?" Mum asked and I looked at her gloomy face and sighed. "I'm using the venues drums and the girls are taking their own guitars I think." I nodded happily and closed my suitcase. Mum handed me the keys to my new car and we jumped in. I kissed my mum bye and left before I saw my step-monster again.
The plane ride was boring. We were too excited for anything. I sat next to Katie and Ashlee and Delilah sat on the other side, we sung the whole way and pretended to play our instruments. "Would you like anything to drink?" The women asked and we both nodded happily. She handed us two Malibu and cokes and then flounced off throwing her blonde barbie-like hair behind her. I rolled my eyes and tied up my black and blue hair in a tight little ponytail.
"You girls ready?" I said as we jumped off the plane and into America for the first time. They all screamed and started jumping around. "THE WARPED TOUR HERE WE COME!!!" I shouted as loud as possible earning some weird looks from some boys. One of them came over to us and started to check me out and I rolled my eyes. "You got a problem?" I asked and he smiled looking into my blue eyes.
"You four going to the warped tour?" He asked, his voice was all deep and husky, "yeah we're performing there." Katie said before I could stop her. I rolled me eyes and watched as his lit up. "Hey, your that band! Deafening silence?" He screamed and I clapped sarcastically. His mates came over and took some photos with us and then we went our separate ways.
The girls were standing there all hyper screaming about meeting our first ever fans but I was still nervous about the tour. It was my first time singing I front of a lot of people and some of my favourite bands would be there watching me... It's fair to say I was shitting myself.
After about an hour we got to the place and was sitting in the caravan. I was just unpacking when someone knocked on the door. I ran over to it and opened it and was completely shocked to see the man standing before me. "Hi I'm Derek." He said handing his hand out to me, I snaked it completely star stricken and then sighed. "I'm Francesca. It's nice to meet you." I said laughing. He looked at me and raised an eyebrow and then started to laugh too.
"So you're opening my band tonight. You looking forward to it? How did you think of the name Deafening Silence?" He asked and I laughed looking at his beautiful long hair. "It was named after your song. You be the anchor, you know the lyrics does this deafening silence mean nothing to no one but me? And yeah I'm looking forward to it what time?"
"That's awesome. Glad I inspired some talented people, be at the main stage at 6." He hugged me and then walked of with a wink. I laughed and walked back into the van. I told the girls what was happening and they all screamed when they found out who we were opening. "DEREK SANDERS HUGGED YOU?" Ashlee said and I pissed myself laughing watching Katie and Delilah pretending to have sex with each other.
"Come on guys let's get ready!" I groaned. I quickly straightened my hair and then styled it into my usual big puffy look, done my dark makeup and put on some black studded shots, patterned tights and a little black shirt with the band 'All Time Low' written on it. I looked at the girls and saw that they were also all dressed in dark colours and had similar things on to me. Grabbing my electric guitar I left watching the girls trail after.
I felt sick as I listened to the screaming girls and boys from behind the curtain. Derek came over one more time to make sure we were alright and then left us to it.
