Homecoming AU (Thomas)

((Hey everyone I know its been a while, so I have three new AUs to post. One for each of our lovely boys. I know I have a prom AU for Thomas so bear with me. This will be good ))

Click Click Click. My heeled shoes echoed through the nearly empty hallway. I had been forced to stay late to redo a presentation in my Speech class. It should have been done earlier in class, but my stutter was so bad, I couldn't get through it. I have a fear of public speaking, not that school cares. 

Only a few teachers were still here, catching up on grading. Most booked it out of the building as soon as the bell rang. I waved to the front office ladies as I walked out the front door. Only a few cars were still there. As I got closer to my jeep, I noticed something on the hood. I froze in my tracks when I saw the final product. 

The hood and windshield of my car were covered in sticky notes. In bright green and blue Homecoming? was there plain as day. I looked around for some clue as to who did it. I picked up one of the sticky notes with some writing on it. -Thomas. I should have known it was that rascal. 

I quickly took a picture of the sticky notes before pulling them off of my windshield so I could see.

Finally the day had arrived. I smoothed out my short black dress in the mirror. It had cute cap-sleeves and a lace bodice. It was elegant but comfortable. At a quarter to 6 my doorbell rang. I waited a few seconds before opening the door. There he was. Thomas, my amazing friend and date. He seemed kind of frozen in his place. 

"Y-you look amazing y/n." He finally said, his brown eyes seemed to twinkle with delight. 

I laughed. "Same goes for you." 

He held out his arm for me which I gladly accepted and he escorted me to the car. It had been a long time since I'd been to any sort of school event like this. 

We arrived a few minutes later and headed into the gym where they would be holding the dance this year. It was amazing to see how they were able to change such a dingy place into a gorgeous dance hall. We took the floor immediately and began dancing. 

I couldn't pinpoint a time I had been this happy.
