Emilee's POV

So much has happened in these past few days. I'm just done with all the work and rumors and klunk. I went into the deadheads to find my favorite spot. There was a large tree that had excellent climbing branches and it was hard to be seen if one got high enough.

As I was walking I heard sniffling. I walked around till I found the source. Mr. 'I'm so tough.' Captain Gally himself.

"Gally?" I asked.

The sniffling stopped suddenly and Gally stood up. "Hey Emilee." He says trying to hide the tear stains on his face.

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"I know you're lying. Come on you can tell me. We're friends." I say as I hold his hand in my own.

"I'm just sick of being stuck here. I know I act like I could care less but I'm concerned about what's going to happen now that those two greenies have changed everything."

Gally and I talked for a little while longer before heading back to the Homestead. He was really nice once you got past the tough guy act. He sat with me and my friends at dinner which did turn some heads but whatever.

Over the next few days Gally and I grew closer. I'd always liked him but this was different than just talking the ear off of a crush. It felt like a mutual kind of thing.

On a particularly uneventful day in the Glade, Gally abducted me from work and took my to what had become our spot in the deadheads.

"Whats up Gal-pal?" I asked in a teasing tone.

"Emilee, I have something important to tell you."

"Okay."

"So the thing is I've always thought you were amazing and getting to know you better these past few days has definitely confirmed that. Emilee I really like you and I was wondering if you would be my girlfriend?"

I stood there for a second not knowing what to say. He liked me! I liked him!

"Yes, of course I'll be your girlfriend!" He picked me up and spun me around. When he put me down I kissed him and just like in those cliché movies I swear there were fireworks.
