Chapter 28

I arrive in Edinburgh Airport and I am meeting D.S Thorpe. I have told him all about the drug dealing and all about Sketch and I said I would help him. I walk through the lobby to see two police officers and I smartly dressed detective. I walk towards them and they gesture me into a small room where no one can see or hear us.

"Miss Bloom I am D.S Thorpe and this is Sargent Scully and Sargent Brad." Thorpe said to me and very professionally might I add.

"Hi" I said bluntly.

"So here is the plan. You have to meet him, where ever you are meeting him" Thorpe continues.

"He texted me about an hour ago saying meet him at 34 George Street. It's the big house in the middle of no where" I replied sarcastically.

"Well we need you to wear this" he pulled out a very small ear piece and a little microphone attached to a wire.
"This is so you can hear us and this is so we can hear you" he explained and I look at him with a little bit of anger in my eyes.

"No. I'm not wearing that." I said sternly.

"I'm sorry but if this is going to work we need you to wear this...."

"No if you want this to work then I can't wear that. Maybe the ear piece but the wire is the first thing he will look for. Sketch is smart he probably already knows I'm talking to the police so I'm sorry but I'm not wearing that wire"

"This isn't going to work if your not going to co....."

"For god sake would you just listen to me! I can't wear that wire because I can personally guarantee he will strip me down to see if I'm wearing one. I have spent a whole year with Sketch so I know all his tricks and all his moves. You probably think you have one up on him getting me on your side but that's where your wrong, it's putting me and Katie in even more danger, he also probably has a inside man telling him exactly everything I'm saying to you right now. So you need to stop thinking that your gonna catch him. You need to start being five steps in front of him rather than ten steps behind." I get louder and louder when I'm explaining.

"OK.....what do u suggest we do?" Thorpe asks. FINALLY!

"Here's the plan. I need a hour head start, I will wear the ear piece but I need to be alone with Sketch for a while. It also might not only be him in the house and they will, I repeat they WILL, have guns or some sort of weapon. Sketch always carries a small handgun and he keeps it in the waistband of his jeans. After I get to talk to him for a while thats when you guys will come in and make the arrest. I will be wearing the ear piece so I will know when you guys are outside. Please play it safe and don't get ahead of yourselves. You guys need to be smart and this is the most important part. Get Katie out! Even if I'm not......Just...... That's your main job is to get Katie out! Understand?"

They all look at me and they are speechless, eventually Thorpe puts his hand out and I shake it.

"Glad to have you aboard Miss Bloom" he said with a shy smile.
