Chapter 35

*The Next Morning*

Katie has just arrived at the hotel and it's 11:00am. We ordered room service and when it arrived me, Eth, Gray, Aliayia and Katie all sit on the floor in a circle eating the food.
After about 20 minutes the door knocked. Who can this be? I get up and walk over to the door and open it to see Thorpe standing there in a grey suit.

"What's up?" I asked feeling a little worried.

"Can I come in?" he asked and I nodded. I moved to the side and allowed him in. He nodded at the guys and then turned his attention back to me.

"What's going on?" I asked crossing my arms.

"Miss Bloom...."

"Ari" I cut him off.

"Ari....we thought we should let you know that Sketch and Cameron have been charged and their court date is in a few weeks. You will need to be present for it as you are a witness"

"OK, um I guess I will stay in the hotel until it's over" I said with a bit of disappointment in my voice.
"What about Harry?" I asked glaring at Thorpe.

"Since he wasn't physical with you, he will be getting a shorter sentence." Thorpe replied.

"But he didn't do anything wrong!" I yell.

"Ari he sold drugs for years....we need to do something"

"I sold drugs are you going to bang me up as well?!"

"Look Harry seemed like a decent bloke when I interviewed him, but he still broke the law"

"Please, I'm begging you. He has a family out there somewhere at least before you send them down let him see his son. Melissa and Billy Harper, their names might be changed now because of Sketch but please find them. I know Harry wants to change, please let him make the right choices and give him a chance." I pleaded. Thrope looks to the ground and then back up to me and he let's out a big sigh.

"I'll see what I can do" he said and I smiled.

"Thank you." I whisper.

"What about Jessica?" Ethan asks and Thrope turns to face him.

"Miss White was giving community service for 8 weeks and then she will be moved back to New Jersey to stay with a family member......on her mother's side." Thrope explains. I sigh with relief. I know she was a bitch but she did save my life. I have to thank her properly when I see her.

"Thank you D.S Thrope for the information" I said and I put my hand out to shake it but he never accepted.

"Actually Ari there is something else I wanted to talk to you about" he said with a ghost of a smile.

"Well what is it?" Aliayia said in a sarcastic tone.

"We want to offer you a job with the force" Thrope blurted out.

"Come again?" I asked feeling really confused.

"Ari, I have talked to the police force back in New Jersey and they are willing to take you on"

"But why me? I'm nothing special, I'm not qualified, there must be a thousand people who would love a job offer like this so why me?"

"Because not everyone would've done what you have achieved the other day. Ari you showed true bravery and that's something you don't see often. I personally think the force needs more people like you on the team. Please at least consider it?"

"I will" I replied and we shake hands and he left. I look to the others and they are all gobsmacked by what just happened. I sit back down next to Ethan and Katie and there is a small pause in the room.

"You gonna take the job?" Grayson asks.

"I have no idea yet" I replied. We all sit there talking for a good hour. It's like we are all getting to know each other for the first time. It's different but I think a good different. We all decided to go out to the cinema to see the new Finding Dory film.

As we head out I feel like nothing can knock us down. We have been through so much together. This time last year I was selling drugs, getting beat up and getting involved with the wrong crowds, and if someone told me that in a years time I would have got rid of Sketch and Cameron, friends with The Dolan Twins, not just that going out with one of them.
Then I would of never of believed them.

I can't believe how happy I am right now, but there is still one thing I have to do once the cinema is over.
