Some people have told me you can't see the entire chapter in the computer. If you can't read till the Tom and Loki section, try it in your phone. I've been told it's appearing there.

She couldn't tell if she drew back first or Fallon did. All she knew was one moment she was in ectasy. Trapped in a vortex of swirling colours, then she was staring at a breathless Fallon who was looking at her face with his dark intense eyes. He was scanning her face like he had never done before, as if she had suddenly grown a beard or changed in some way.

He made an odd jerking motion towards her as if he wanted to reach for her again but suddenly stilled.
"At least you are not a complete waste of spaceship fuel." He finally remarked. Kashara's mouth dropped.
"Excuse me!!?!? You..YOU! Irritating! Slimy! Piece of!...Piece of bread!!"
"..Bread?" Fallon made an odd coughing motion that sounded like he was trying to dislodge something from his throat. His eyes crinkled slightly making him look like he was laughing...but Kashara knew that that was between the realms of Narnian and Middle-earth, right next to the realm for the mentally ill where cats became social philanthropists.
"Yes! A moldy piece of bread! I hope you know how rotten you are!!' Kashara retorted, superbly happy she had managed to put a pun in there. Kashara, as you can see, loved the simpler pleasures in life.
Fallon continued to stare at her face, then finally scoffed aristocratically. " A week after this, you'll go on a tour outside the castle. I suspect that will be the perfect opportunity for the rebels to contact you. I want you to work on your magic in case they have other plans then just trying to talk to you. Tomorrow I'll give you back more of your magic."
"Why can't you do it today?" She asked.
"I cannot." He replied brusquely before immediately disappearing in a flash of flames. Either he wanted a quick getaway or was suddenly obsessed with his ability to teleport, because strangely he had always swirled around and exited in the trademark Fallonesque way.

'UGH! You stupid extraterrestrial...jerk!!!' Kashara exclaimed at the vacant air, thoroughly irritated by his high handed manner.
She went into their room and tumbled on to her bed. Nothing to do again. Seriously. She was nearly tempted to ask Lintenberg for lessons just to quell the boredom. This queen thing was a whole lot of sitting around doing nothing. No wonder princesses always ran away with a rogue.
She heard the faint swishing noise often made when someone walked through one of these glass doors. Great! She was starving! She hoped the maids brought up something edible this time, though ever since the banquet incident with Fallon were she masqueraded as a lady in waiting, the food she got was pretty good and there were quite a few Erthling dishes.
She didn't know how Fallon got hold of their recipes, or even...why...
She sighed. Now she was yet again forced to think of Fallon and his enigmatic ways. There was this insidious voice inside her that spoke clearly that it did not wish to go back. What are you going back to? Stay here. It said. It used to whisper, but now it spoke.
Her stomach gave a timely rumble, distracting her from her perilous line of thought and she turned to look for the serving maid, disgruntled.

A slim sinewy man stood right in the doorway staring right at her. Even more terrifyingly, his sleeveless shirt revealed a large and elaborate tattoo of a tender lotus stalk crushing a tail of a reptilian creature on his side of his arm. The lotus was in full bloom, turned eerily towards the viewer, like hypnotising carnivorous plant that trapped its prey with it's treacherous sweet scent.
