DEMITYTES 26

Kashara knew she was probably setting herself up for an angry Meet-the-Fallon session right now. But she knew time was of essence. She had to tell Fawier. She gingerly made herself down the narrow passageway to the dungeon, cloaked by her invisibility spell.

As she reached the dungeon door, she was surprised to find only one guard dozing off. Slightly puzzled, she continued on, to the cell that held Fawier. He was sleeping in the far corner of the cell, exhaustion and sort of weariness hung of him like a fog. Kashara gripped the bars... how could she get in?

Last time she had used dyiporting into the cell itself, but she could feel the layers of magic swirling around it now. Menacing and Aggressive, they spoke of Fallon. She decided to just call Fawier.

"Psstt, Hey.!" She called softly, rousing the old man from his uneasy slumber. Fawier, first opened his eyes a bit unfocused and then slowly he shook his head, wincing at the movement, then gazed straight at Kashara. Or rather through Kashara - all he had heard was a bit of phantom air beckoning him.

Kashara saw that Fawier was looking at her, and began hurriedly whispering, " Listen up old man! I know who is Lord Faun! And you're never going to believe who-"

"Kashara?" Fawier asked utterly flummoxed as to why a blob of air that sounded like Kashara was addressing him so boldly.

Kashara annoyed at being interrupted from such juicy information retorted, "No, it's your mum."

Fawier looked even more confused about that. "Mum? What are you doing here? I thought you were dead!?"

Kashara sighed and banged her head against the bar. Then she remembered she was invisible. She quickly gave furitive glances along the corridor and undid her spell. Fawier gasped when he saw her. "Kashara?! Did you find anything out? It's okay, I think my mum came back from the dead to spy on who Lord Faun was. She was just going to tell me." He paused then called out, "Mum! Where are you? Who's Faun? Tell us!"

Kashara didn't know if she wanted to smash his head or her head against the bar. "If the rebellion if full of brainless morons like you, it's no wonder that they are losing." She muttered under her breath.

"That wasn't your mother, that was me invisible." She finally said, stopping Fawier from waving his hands around trying to hug his incorporeal mother.

"Oh!" Fawier looked a bit let down but also embarrassed. " Prison does things to you..." He said sheepishly. "Anyway! Who is Lord Faun? Tell me the name of this traitor and I will ensure that the rebellion skewers his insides on his face! ". Fawier looked ready to combust. His eyes were threatening to pop out, and his face was flamed red and he looked ready to tear someone apart.

Kashara grimaced a bit at the grisly image but decided to finally spare Fawier the suspense.

"Well, I don't think you can really do that, considering he isn't actually a traitor-"

"WHAT!"

"-or in anyway going to allow anyone near his perfect face. There's also this teensy detail that he probably could snuff out the whole rebellion overnight if he wanted to. Not to mention he is the guy who burnt of your arm."

Fawier gaped increduously. "You mean...It's...."

"The one and only." A smooth and verrry familiar voice quipped dryly from behind Kashara. Kashara whirled around just to see the bane of her existence, Fallon Eagus appear out of nowhere.

She gulped. Shit. This was bad. VERY VERY bad. Behind her Fawier also seemed horrified and struck dumb. Fallon leisurely straightened up from the wall and gave an amused glance at Kashara.
