"Tell me again " General Klousseau turned to his trusted right hand man.

"When the last dawn shall here begin,

the wrongs of Ryk will be right again,

when a traitor's choice makes civil unrest bud,

and the rivers on red earth flow redder with civil blood,

When the earth is dead and labours to breathe,

the air is plagued and volcanoes seethe,

Hera's blood and Xeno's flesh let magic fall upon this accursed land,

Destruction thwarted under the dragon's command. "

Adanite replied.

General Klousseau leant back, in deep thought. "Am I a traitor Adanite?" He asked slowly. The fire in the room cast a dim flickering light on his face.

Adanite spoke quickly, " No! Never."

"I thought I was helping the people. How could I support what the King wanted to do? I was only...Only trying to...Never mind. It is too late and the day is too young and so are you, too be listening to an old man's grousing."

"Did you think it was about her?" Adanite asked.

"Who..?" General Klousseau murmured disrupted from his musings.

"The girl. The Erthling. Kashara. "

"Hmm... I can't be sure. But, that phrase, Xeno's flesh. If there was anything that would refer to her from the prophecy, I would probably say it was that line than anything else." General Klousseau said slowly.

"That was vague to the vaguest degree. Is that why you wanted to meet her? To see? If it was about her?"

"Yes. And can I not see the soon to be Queen of this planet? She can't certainly come down here for evening tea once she's Queen. Also, I'm sure Fallon has found out all about her kidnapping now. He needs to learn that I'm not fighting not because I can't, but because I don't want to, yet." General Klousseau said.

"He found out! How? We made sure to leave no trace. " Adanite asked sharply.

"No, you left quite a big one. The kidnappee actually. Quite a pity that girl. Brainy and Brave." General Klousseau began to talk to himself forgetting he had an audience.

"She told him?! That gi-" Adanite swore, and then paused for a second, then quickly turned to General Klousseau "You knew this would happen, before she was even brought here. If you had just seen fit to share your information with me, I wouldn't have wasted my last portal box trying to inconspicuously get her here."

"It is not my fault if you do not seek out Rambire regarding information our spy has collected." General Klousseau said sharply.

"I cannot stand that man. He is insufferable."

"The greatest lesson life teaches you is humility. If you can't learn it, at least, maybe you can do that man a courtesy of teaching it to him." General Klousseau smirked.

"You sneaky old bat. This is why encourage me to meet with him. You can't stand him too! You are too lazy to put him down and you want me to do your dirty work don't you?" Adanite asked annoyed yet amused.

"Guilty as charged." General Klousseau smiled.

Suddenly Adanite tensed as if remembering something. "What did you mean?" His tone was striking and serious now, no joke in them. "What did you mean when you said 'Quite a pity that girl.' Why is it a pity? Klousseau, I am not in the mood for your jokes." He asked.
