The Badboy Likes Me.

Chapter 2

Melanie's P.O.V

Do you know how annoying it is to sit next to a so called "badboy" in class? Well let me tell you it is VERY annoying. I mean this dude won't leave me alone for like a second or so. How am I going to focus in class if he is sitting next to me. I tried ignoring him but that makes him bother me MORE. Boy it is just my first day in school and I feel like I'm suffering already.

After class,

The bell rang and it's time to switch classes. Finally I can get away from that Lucas guy. My next class is Maths, my favourite subject. I admit it can be really confusing but it's actually easy if you remember the formulas. When I reached the classroom, I was looking for an empty seat and eventually I found a sit which is far back, next to a familiar looking girl who was chatting with a guy who is sitting next to her. So I went to take a seat over there. After putting my bag on the chair the girl noticed my existence and looked at me. Now that I see her face clearly I remembered she was at the same class with me. She then smiled at me and said hi.

" Hi ! We were in the same class just now but I didn't get your name. I'm Veronica Mckenzie. You can call me Roni though. ''

" Hi there. My name is Melanie Johnson. ''

" You have a nice name. Is it fine if I call you Mel ? ''

" Yeah sure. I don't mind at all ''

" Oh by the way the guy sitting next to me is Matthew Dawson, everyone calls him Matt for short. He is kind of quiet around new people but he will talk more if you get to know him. He is a nice guy ''

Matt just nodded while smiling at me and I did the same to him.

After introducing ourselves the teacher came in and all of us went back to our seats. I saw an empty seat in front of Matt and I don't even want to guess who's seat belongs there. (Because I know that maybe YOU all know who it belongs too). Definitely Lucas. Before lesson starts the teacher, Mr. Pedro, was taking the attendance.

" I see everyone is seated but I see one empty seat and does that seat belongs to Mr. Erickson ? ''

I told you it was Lucas. You guys were also suspecting it.

The whole class nodded agreeing and Mr. Pedro just sighed and said ' not again '.

I'm guessing he always slacks off for maths class or maybe most of the subjects. But who cares it's his life. As long as I'm happy then it's fine. The class goes on until the bell rang for recess. Roni invited me to join her and Matt, I agreed to it because they seem like a nice person and honestly what could go wrong hanging out with them. While walking our way to the cafeteria we passed by Lucas and his group of friends and I swear to god I hated the way they smell. Cigarette smoke. I shook my head and continued walking towards the cafeteria.

After taking the food, we managed to find an empty seat and sat there. Roni started talking about her love life while acting so dramatic about it while me and Matt just laughed at her for overreacting. Suddenly Roni started asking me

" Hey Mel, have you ever fallen in love, that it hurts so bad ? ''

I went quiet and think about it for a while. After a few seconds I just said " nope, never even think about falling in love. Maybe just one day but who knows. ''

Roni went and frown. She then said " I don't know if I can trust you about never even thinking about falling in love. Because I believe everyone has fallen in love at least once ''

" Well I guess I'm not one of them ''

Roni went and hit me at the arm and said " that's boring ! I still don't know if I should believe your words but for now I will ''

We both started laughing and then I went and ask Matt the same question

" What about you Matt. Have you fallen in love before? ''

Matt was quiet for a second, thinking. He then replied " Yes I did but I regretted it afterwards. Because I just found out that she is in a relationship with her 2 years boyfriend and I didn't want to ruin it. So I decided it's better to move on and find a better one ''. Me and Roni just went and ' aww ' at him for being a caring person thinking about his crush's feeling and we both continued to tease him. We all end up bursting into laughter. It was really nice to hangout with them.

After recess

We were walking to our locker to go get the books for the next class. We were all going to the same place so we end up walking together to the lab for Chemistry. We were writing down the formulas that Mr. Gerard who wrote it down on the whiteboard. After everyone finished writing it down, Mr. Gerard went to explain about it before we do the experiment.

Roni was really excited to do the experiment. I wasn't though. While doing the experiment we had a lot of argument on which goes to which and I end up giving up and let Roni handle it. Mr. Gerard came to check and he looked surprise on what was Roni doing and he ended up scolding Roni for doing it wrongly. Roni frowned and end up letting me handle it.

After school

I was on my way to the parking lot and I saw Lucas leaning against my car while looking at the ground. I walked towards him and immediately asked him

" why are you leaning against my car ''

He looked up and smirked. He then said " I was waiting for you and I wanted to ask you privately. Do you want to go out and eat lunch together ''

I looked at the time and back at him wanting to decline his offer but I admit my stomach is grumbling and I need food. So I agreed to go eat lunch together.

" wait you really mean it? I mean like you don't mind eating together with a guy like me? ''

" well I am hungry and I don't see a problem so let's go eat. I'm starving ''

Lucas went quiet for a second, probably thinking. after a moment of silence I said

" please tell me you planned this earlier ''

He scratched his head and grinned

" well I didn't expect you would accept my invitation. So I didn't really think of a place to eat unless you have something in mind ''

I went silence for a second and said

" well then... it looks like I don't have anything in mind too ''

A/N- I haven't been updating for almost a year hehe i'm so sorry. i was thinking if i should continue the story or leave it be. but i'm giving it a second chance. so sorry if the chapter is still short. i think i ran out of ideas ! and maybe i'm gonna do a character profile thing and how they look like. maybe i won't be adding the cast so that you guys can imagine how they look like :^) alright then farewell now !
