Chapter 12

Melanie's POV

I don't even know where in the world is he bringing me to. Here I am being the victim and Lucas being the kidnapper. Who the heck does he think he is dragging me around anytime he wants.

''You know it's really nice of you inviting me out for lunch during recess. I mean it's definitely necessarily for you to bring me out to eat during school time. Like I totally love skipping class.''

I said while faking a smile and also being sarcastic.

''Oh no need to thank me. You'll be doing that a lot from now on." Lucas said while turning his head to wink at me.

What a disgusting wink.

"There is no way I'm doing this again ! You are wasting my time." I sighed and folded my arms.

"I swear to god if you kidnap me again I would not hesitate to scream and report you." I warned him.

Lucas laughed and said "I don't think I would dare to do that if I were you" He smirked at me while raising an eyebrow. The car stopped in front of a restaurant nearby.

"Oh? Why would I not? I have the rights to do it. When we get back to school I'm going to report you. ''

"Shut that mouth before I make you. I'm not going to kill you, just bringing you out to eat." He got out of the car and rushed to my door to open it for me.

"I'm not done talking and you're asking me to shut up? Who the heck do you think you ar-" I stopped talking when Lucas leaned forward to my face leaving an inch between us. I could feel his breathe and I'm sure he can feel mine too.

We stayed silence while looking at each other. Now that I got a chance to look at his eyes closer, I noticed it was a very nice hazel colour.

My heart skipped a beat, and I felt butterflies in my tummy.

He smirked and said "If you continued talking I would have kissed you to make it shut. Come out quick or do you want me to carry you out?"

I blushed while pushing him out of my way  "I can do it myself !" while closing the door.

After eating I went back into the car and the trip back to school was quiet.

I feel very awkward to look at Lucas' eyes now, or rather shy. Come on you can't blame me for falling in love with him. Sooner or later I will fall deeper.

"Do you not want to go back to class ?" Lucas said while looking at me intensely making me feel more nervous.

I was too busy with my thoughts . I didn't even realize that we've reached school.

"Oh, I'll get out now. Thanks for treating me out today. I mean it, even though the timing isn't nice but it's fine." I said while trying to open the door, not realizing it's still locked.

"Don't leave yet." Lucas said with a serious tone.

Oh my god, what now.

"What do you mean ? I've skipped a few of my classes just to go out with you. Isn't that enough?" I was frustrated, I need to get out of the car or I'll burst from my feelings.

"It's never enough. Can we just stay together for a while? Just a little longer" He said while leaning against the chair with a smile on his face.

My heart just skipped a beat again.

I agreed on staying with him a bit longer in the car. After 10 minutes which felt like an hour, he finally unlocked the car.

"I guess I'll be going now. Don't skip class." I said while opening the door.

But before I could get out he pulled me back by my arm and kissed me. Surprised I tried to push him away but he held me for a few seconds before letting me go.

His hand still holding my arm, he looked at me and said.

"I like you, like really. Will you be my girlfriend?"
