Chapter 3

Melanie's POV

Here I am in my car with the bad boy, Lucas. Where are we heading to you ask? Well since this smartass Lucas here didn't decide where we should eat, I decided that we should go and eat at my favourite place to eat, Nandos. I asked Lucas if he was fine with it and well he told me that it is also his favourite place too. I decided to say,

"Oh wow we have something in common."

"Maybe it's fate?"
He looked at me and winked playfully which made us both laugh.

"Who on earth would say having the same favourite restaurant is fate?"

"I don't know. Guess I am the first one"

On our way there we did have a conversation and well surprisingly it was going pretty smoothly. Since he is the one asking questions I decided that it's my turn to ask him a question.

"Alright, my turn to ask you a question."

Lucas stared at me looking surprised that i am asking him a question but soon enough he nodded.

"Out of all the other girls in our school, who is obviously more popular and prettier than me, why did you invite me out for lunch and not the others?"

Lucas went quiet for awhile, probably thinking.

After a few seconds of silence he finally said

"Good question. why did I invite you ?" while sticking his tongue out.

I swear to god this guy is testing my patience.

"Come on Lucas tell me !!"

"Not going to tell you. Rather than being a busy body, you should focus on the road."

"Fine."

We reached our destination and went inside Nandos.
One of the waiter went to us.

"Hi welcome to Nandos. Shall I get a seat for 2 or will there be more people who will be joining you 2 ?" he asked while smiling.

Oh god. He is a hottie.

"Just for 2" said Lucas.

Damn it Lucas. He should just let me say it.

Once when we are seated, we checked the menu and think of what to have. Lucas decided to break the silence and asked

"Are you going to order quarter chicken and the flavour will be hot?"

I put the menu down and glared at him and said

"How did you know what i usually order."

I gasped and said

"Are you a stalker or something?!"

Lucas stared at me blankly and leaned in so he will be closer to me and flicked my forehead.

"OUCH. What was that for?!" i asked while rubbing my forehead.

"That's for thinking me as a stalker. Honestly if I was one, I would rather stalk someone else than you"

I rolled my eyes. After we made out decision, Lucas called a waiter and the same waiter that showed us our seat came with a pen and a notepad. I checked his name tag and it says 'Dave'. I smiled after knowing his name. I thought to myself and say 'he sure is a hottie. and a keeper'

After Lucas told his order, I was still busy staring at Dave while daydreaming and Lucas went and kick my leg under the table to bring me back to earth. I glared at him and told Dave my order. After taking our orders Dave went back to the kitchen. Lucas went and say

"What's so good about that dude that made you drool?"

"Oh shut up. He is good looking and I am pretty sure he is nicer than you."

Lucas rolled his eyes and said "You don't even know me well. It's such a shame that you can't remember me too."

I went and give him a confused look and ask "Remember you what? you're saying all this like we've met before psh"

Lucas went and put both of his elbow on the table and his head resting at both of his hand while staring at me. "Maybe we did. Like I said it might be fate.

"Come on just tell me. Did we meet before or something"

Lucas pretended that he didn't hear anything that i said. I wanted to ask him the same question again but the food arrived and Lucas went and say

"It's better if we eat the food before it goes cold" while smirking.

"Whatever."

After lunch it was around 3 pm. We are on our way back to school because Lucas told me to drop him off there since his car is still at the school compound. On our way back Lucas was closing his eyes while the windows is rolled down letting the wind in. We stopped when the light was red. I was still thinking, have I ever met him before? I stared at him and I do agree, his face does seem familiar but I just don't know where did i see him before.

When we reached school I parked my car next to a black car which I suspect is his.

"We're here."

....

Silence

I look at the passenger seat and Lucas was sleeping. I thought to myself "he looks kinder while sleeping". I gather my guts and tried my best to wake him up. First try was to poke him. Well let me tell you that it didn't work as much as i thought it would. So my second plan was to actually shake him. And I did. He slapped my hand away.

I swear to god this dude. Can't he even wake up.

I took my phone out and put my volume on max. I put my phone next to his ear and blasted some random music. He got up quickly and put his hand at his right ear.

"DUDE. That was TOO loud. Don't you have another way to wake me up?"

I looked at him innocently and said "I tried"

Lucas mumbled "luckily you're a girl, or not I would have hit you" while rubbing his ear.

Before leaving the car he said

"Thanks for agreeing to eat lunch with me and a ride back. Oh and also thanks for making me almost deaf ! See you tomorrow, loser" 

"Goodbye ! Have a safe trip back"

I waited for Lucas to drive off first so I could drive back home.

And suddenly something clicked in my mind

"Wait a minute..."

"Did he called me a loser."

Like i said before i really suck at writing but like i am giving a shot to actually try to finish this story ;-; no one likes cliff hanger ! so what do you guys think about this chapter?! what do you guys think about
Melanie and Lucas? what is your guesses hehe. well i am going to write the 4th chapter !! wish me luck 💕

P.S- don't you guys think Lucas is a bit too nice 🤔 i wonder what's his back story. HINT HINT. Or maybe he is just nice towards Melanie but whY???! COUGH COUGH.
