"MERRY CHRISTMAS!"
I'm jumping on the bed to wake Draco up. He throws his pillow at me. I grab it and throw it back, then flop on top of him.
"It's been two years since we got engaged," I tell him. He kisses me on the cheek.
"Merry Christmas and happy anniversary," he says, "what time is it?"
"It's ten," I say, "I don't think I've ever slept this late on Christmas."
"What time are our parents coming?" Draco asks, yawning. I rest my chin on his chest.
"Not until twelve-thirty," I say, "we can have a lazy breakfast, open presents and make the house look all fan-cy!"
Draco wraps his arms around me.
"I like the sound of that," he says, "what's for breakfast?"
"I don't know, I told Tippy to surprise me," I say, rolling back onto my side of the bed and getting under the covers. I snuggle up to Draco. He's nice and warm. I run my foot over his and he yelps.
"Your toes are like ice!" he says, moving his feet away from me.
"Sorry," I say, rubbing my feet together to try and warm them up, "it's been so cold recently. With all these Dementors around, it'll be a miracle if we have a summer."
"Do you think this will all be over by the summer?" Draco asks. I lean my face into his chest and don't answer. I don't like thinking about it.
"Do you think we should name our house?" he asks, changing the subject. I lean back to look at him.
"What?"
"Well, my parents' house was Malfoy Manor," he says, "and your parents' house was called Ingleside. Do you think we should name our house?"
"I think we should," I nod, "what do you think we should call it?"
"Something that's like us," he says.
"Like what?"
"I don't know, uhm, well, don't all girls want a castle?" he asks. I shake my head.
"The princess thing hasn't appealed to me since I was locked in a tower," I tell him drily, "what about Saumarez?"
"Saumarez," Draco tests the word, "Saumarez, I think I like it."
"I think I like it too," I say, "shall we have breakfast?"
"Can we open our presents first?"
"Can we do both at the same time?"
"Autumn, we can do what ever we want," Draco laughs, leaping out of bed and pulling on his dressing gown. I follow suit, pulling socks on too. We head downstairs to the living room where all out presents are waiting under the tree. Tippy brings out breakfast of French toast and cinnamon milk in.
Draco and I give each other our presents to each other first. I've given him cufflinks engraved with intertwined DM and a pocket watch with the same. Draco's given me diamond drop earrings and a long, delicate chain with a love heart on the end. We move on to everyone else's presents, munching on toast and sipping our milk. At the bottom of the tree there's a tiny parcel wrapped in pale blue with To A, Love F&G. Inside is a small bottle on a chain filled with light blue powder. Fairy dust. It's supposed to be lucky and ward off evil. I put the chain around my neck and tuck it under my pajamas.
"Let's get this decorating done, eh?" Draco says, holding out his hand to help me up.
We put decorations around the whole house, with candles floating though the hallways and icicles hanging from the door frames.
"What's the time?" I ask Draco.
"Just past twelve."
"We'd better go and get dressed," I sigh, "wouldn't do to answer the door in jim-jams."
I dress in deep green robes and brush my hair into a neat bun. I feel a lot older than seventeen.
Mother and Father arrive a little before twelve-thirty, bring the girls with them. I meet them at the door and try to listen to each of them as they all tell me about their Christmas at the same time.
"Autumn, dear, we've got some news," Mother says, "we're having another baby!"
"Oh, my God," I gasp. I quickly regain my composure and force myself to smile.
"That's fantastic!" I exclaim, hugging Mother, "congratulations."
This is ridiculous.
Mr and Mrs Malfoy arrive at twelve-thirty on the dot. We sit around making polite conversation until lunch is served at one. After lunch we exchange gifts. Our parents give us things for the house, a huge, black vase from Draco's parents and a set of black dinner plates from my parents. Draco and I take the girls outside to play in the snow while our parents have tea.
"Another baby, huh?" Draco asks, blowing on his hands to warm them. I roll my eyes.
"It's silly," I say, "just because they can have children doesn't mean they should. Although, maybe Father will get his son."
"You'd be the opposite of the Weasleys," Draco notes.
"I think we already are..." I sigh, "ow!"
Jessie hits me with a snow ball. I bend down and scoop up some snow, squeezing it into a tight ball, and throw it at my sister. An all out snow bal fit ensues.
We all walk into the house, dripping wet and shivering.
"Hot showers, now," I tell the girls, leading them upstairs to the guest bathrooms. While they're warming up in the shower, I dry off their clothes and get into some dry clothes myself. I fix my hair, not wanting my inlaws to see me looking like I fell through a hedge backwards. We all go downstairs together. Draco's parents take their leave and we have hot chocolate in front of the fire. After that my family goes home and Draco and I collapse on the lounge.
"I think today went rather well, don't you?" I ask, cuddling up to Draco.
"For our first Christmas, I think it went very well."

Hey guys, thanks for reading. Sorry about the filler chapter, I've been doing lots of writing for the National Novel Writing Month and there's a million other things going on, so I've not been in much of a writing mood at all :P Anyway, I'll try to do a proper chapter soon. Thanks again for reading! x
