Luke and his parents took me home. I'm not sure why I walked out of their house. Like I was going to walk home. When I woke up in the morning my parents scolded me for walking out so late at night alone. I told them the story, then they blamed Luke and that turned into an argument. That led me to storming out of the house and realizing I left my car back at the school.
"Mom, can I have a ride back to the school?"
She looked at me with her warm brown eyes, "Sure." They looked sad. She never liked it when I fought with them.
We drove in silence. I felt bad and decided to apologize.
"Mom, I'm sorry. You know how I get when you guys question Luke. Nothing's wrong with him."
"I know, I like Luke. He's a sweet boy he just needs to stop doing drugs. Your father will probably never approve but he has my blessing."
I looked at her, "What?"
"Yeah, I can tell he likes you."
I smiled. She smiled back, "Thanks, mom."
5 seconds of summer came on the radio and we listened to them in silence. Well, me and my mom hummed along. That's what I liked about my mom. She never stayed mad or sad long. She always forgave me. I did the same. We pulled up to the school.
"Thanks, mom" I kissed her cheek.
"You're welcome honey, sometime me and you need to go spend a little girl time. Okay"
"That'd be nice. Love you."
"Love you too." I shut the car door and she drove off. I smiled and walked back to my room.
I had been stuck in my room for an hour. Grace wasn't here either. She would've told me if she had left, but she didn't today. I didn't think much of it. I dug out my phone from my purse and clicked on Luke's profile. I put it on speaker and waited.
"Hi" His voice rung through my phone.
"Hey, I wanted to talk about last night" I didn't really know what to say.
"I'm sorry Bells. That was a stupid move and it was completely my fault. My friends just showed up unexpectedly."
"I guess I was just more worried than mad..."
"I know..."
"So, are we kinda good?"
"Yeah."
"Okay." It was silent for a minute until Luke broke it.
"Are you free today?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"Well, I thought that I probably take you out on a date. And not forget about it." He laughed nervously.
I chuckled a little, "Okay, I'm back at the school. What time?"
"Uh, maybe in an hour?"
"6:00? sounds good."
"I'll see you then."
"Bye."
I hung up. I took a quick shower and put on high waist shorts and a white shirt. I gave my hair a little curl and put on mascara. By the time I put on the converse, Luke knocked on my door. He had on black jeans, converse, a black jacket with dark gray sleeves, and a black flat bill hat. I couldn't take my eyes off him.
"Take, a picture, it'll last longer."
"Hey."
He laughed and hugged me, "You ready?"
"I need one more thing, then I am." I snatched his hat and took off out the door.
"Really?!" He yelled, "I just got that."
I laughed and let him catch up. I gave it back but he put in on my head, "Just keep it for the night. You look better in it anyways." He smiled and grabbed my hand.
I sat in his car. We were singing our lungs out to music. I yelled over the blasting stereo, "Where are you taking me?"
He turned it down, "You'll see."
"You little shit. Tell me."
"I'm good."
"Go fuck yourself"
"Already do."
"Nasty ass."
"Wanna help?"
"Yeah no."
He smiled and pulled into a fancy restaurant.
"You are not taking me here."
"Yes, I am."
"No, this is too fancy."
"Bells, if McDonald's is fancy for you I feel really bad for you."
"This ain't no McDonald's."
"I know."
He fucking took me to Red Lobster.
We got out and went inside. Our waiter was honestly kinda cute. He had green eyes and dark brown hair. He was also really tall. He's not the main focus though. Luke was just hot.
"So, what have you done today?" I asked Luke.
"I pretty much slept."
"Same. Grace left without telling me."
"Really? Is that unusual for her?"
"Very, it was probably because I wasn't in the dorm this weekend."
"That's probably it. I wouldn't worry about her."
"Yeah." our food came and the small talk stopped. Something you should know about me and Luke is we take food very serious. Hell, if I were to ever cheat on Luke, it'd be with food. I love food. The waiter came by with our ticket and me and Luke grabbed it at the same time.
"I'm the boyfriend, I pay."
"I'm the weird girlfriend, I pay."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"Please!" He pleaded.
"Fine, I pay for the tip though."
"Deal."
We paid for our meal and left. He took me back to my dorm room but stayed a little while after. We laid on my bed watching TV.
"I had fun tonight."
"I did too. I always imagined taking you out like that."
"Really? You fantasized about me and you."
"Yes. Yes, I did."
"Weirdo."
"I know."
"So, my mom likes you."
"Huh?"
"I mean she approves of you. She thinks you're a sweet guy. Not to mention cute."
"Really? And did your mom really say I was cute?"
"No, I added that in and yeah she does."
"Nice, all I have to do is get your dad to like me."
I laughed. I snuggled up to him and he wrapped his arms around me. I looked up at him and kissed him lightly. I eventually drifted off to a deep sleep.
Author's Note: I'm sorry that it's been so lovey lately. I don't know how to put in the creepy stuff all that well. This is my first Horror book? I'm not sure you'd even call it that. I'll try to add more scary stuff in it though.
