Chapter 27

We had a long drive ahead of us so as soon as we left my town we had the radio blasting and the windows down cruising. It was just Simon and I in the back and his dad was driving. My hair was blowing everywhere and Simon would not stop laughing at me. His dad thought it was pretty funny too that I couldn't even see because of it!

We saw many things pass by as we were driving. All the towns we drove through were actually pretty interesting. They weren't just plain small towns that were quiet and boring. They had big, tall buildings on every corner. There were tons of little stores that you could go in and get little gifts for someone. It was really cool.

A couple hours later we stopped to get lunch. We ate at olive garden. It was super good. Simon and I ordered the same thing, a creamy, delicious, pasta while his dad just ate a salad. The bread sticks where amazing to dip in the pasta. After we ate that, we all went over next door to get ice cream at the ice cream shop. I got a twist cone ( chocolate on one side and vanilla on the other ) while Simon just got vanilla.

Not long after that it started to get dark and the car started to get quite. Simon fell asleep with his head pushed up against the window, which was the cutest thing ever, and he was drooling a little bit.

Simon's dad turned down the radio so that it was just barely heard. I still had my window down and the breeze felt nice. It wasn't as hot as it was when we first left.

I was still really full from the lunch we had so it made me sleepy. I tried to keep my eyes open as bright, flashing, lights went by as we passed by more cities but the gentle movement of the car put me right to sleep only to be waken up for what seemed like just seconds later by Simons dad.

"Wake up Morgan, were here."

"Where are we?" I asked him still drowsy from just waking up. I looked at the clock on the car radio and it said 2:13 am. That means I was asleep for four hours.

" Where at our first hotel of the tour." He said while opening up Simon's side of the door causing him to fall out only to be caught by his seatbelt. He woke up suddenly and started struggling not knowing what was going on. His dad leaned over him and un clicked the seatbelt and Simon fell out of the car and onto the ground.

"DAD!!!" He yelled as he slowly got up. "What did you do that for?

"Well how else was I suppose to wake you up." He asked while opening up the trunk.

"Oh I don't know maybe shaking my shoulder a little bit and waking me up that way not practically throwing me on the ground." Simon said while stretching.

His dad started laughing and grabbed a couple suitcases and started walking towards the hotel. I got out of the car and looked at Simon. I started laughing and he shook his head and chuckled . he grabbed the rest of the suitcases out of the trunk. I grabbed mine and we headed inside.

Our room was on the third floor. When we got there we went inside and dropped all our things. All we wanted to do was to get some sleep. I got a bed all to myself while Simon slept with his dad. He didn't want us sleeping together.

As soon as we were all comfortable, we said our good nights and drifted off to an amazing place called sleep.
