I unbuckled my seat belt and opened the door and got out. It was scorching hot! I already broke a sweat just by getting out of the car.
I saw Simon and his dad get out and they both walked over to the front and opened the top and checked out the engine. I followed after and looked myself but nothing seemed to be wrong. His dad bent down and looked at the tires but didn't notice anything wrong with them.
"I'm not sure exactly what's wrong." He said while scratching his head.
"Well what do we do??" Simon asked while squinting his eyes because of the bright sun.
"Well I'm going to check the engine again. Why don't you and Morgan go and get some water from the trunk."
"Ok." Simon said while motioning me to come with him. I walked to the back and waited for Simon to open the trunk. Once he did, he handed me a water bottle and grabbed one for himself, then shut the trunk. We walked back to the front and watched his dad try to fix the car.
An hour went by and we still couldn't find out what had caused the problem. Simon and I sat down on the side of the car where there was little shade.
I had gone through two water bottles and was sweating a pool. Same with Simon and his dad.
His dad was still looking at the engine and still couldn't fix it. He sooner or later slammed down the top and told me and Simon to walk down the road and try to get help. We grabbed a couple more water bottles and headed off.
