Chapter 21

Morgan's POV

I woke up to the sound of beeping. Slow beeping. I was in a white room with a brown couch on the left of me and big windows which made the room bright. I sat up on my elbows and looked around the room for one of those button things that calls for help and nurses come in. I didn't see one.

I let out a sigh and rubbed my eyes. So many thoughts were going through my mind. I had mixed feelings. I heard footsteps outside my door and then someone walked in.

It was Simon!!!!!!

I was so glad to see him. I smiled and spread my arms wide, welcoming him to a hug.

He looked at me and instantly smiled back. He ran over to me and hugged me so tight I was sure I was going to explode. He leaned back and stared into my eyes. I could feel my cheeks getting hot and I knew I was blushing.

He reached over and grabbed a piece of my hair and softly tucked it behind my ear. I couldn't help but giggle. His hands were just so strong and manly. His smile started to fade and he stopped staring at me. He put his hands on his lap and he looked down at the ground.

I looked at him and saw that he looked horrible. His eyes were swollen and red as if he had been crying or he didn't get much sleep. His hair looked like a bird's nest. That's when I realized just how much a fake smile could hide.

"Hey ...... are you ok?" I asked him, hoping he would look at me and smile that beautiful smile of his.

"Yea I'm ok..... I just can't believe all of that bad stuff happened to you, I'm sorry." He gave me a weak smile and I turned cold all over again.

" Hey don't beat yourself up over this. It wasn't your fault and you didn't know." I put my fingers under his chin and gently lifted his head up so that he was facing me. I smiled at him. A real smile, one that had all my love in it. He looked at my smile and then at my eyes and I knew all the pain vanished. He smiled with all his love too and that's when I knew everything was going to be ok.

A couple hours later I was dressed and in the hospital lobby, waiting to get checked out. My parents and Simon's dad went to go get us some food because we haven't ate anything since the night before. I sat there beside Simon, glancing at him every once in a while and catching him staring at me every so often too. I still couldn't believe Simon Britton liked me. It was a dream come true.

I saw my parents and Simon's dad walk in and they sat across from us.

"Ok so since all of these bad things keep happening to you Morgan...." my dad started to say.

"We think it would be best if you stayed at Simon's house for a couple of weeks." My mom said.

I looked over at Simon and he looked at me.

"Omg are you serious?" I said

Yep I talked it over with your parents and they said it would be fine." Simon's dad said.

"Omg thank you so much." I said while standing up and giving Simon a hug, then he started spinning me around.

I couldn't stop thinking about how fun this was going to be.

And sooner or later I was in Simon's car and we were driving away to his house.
