He didn't plan on proposing like this, he planned something extravagant on the beach, but in the moment it felt right. It wasn't the most romantic proposal, but he was never a romantic kind of guy.

"Uhh.." She was frozen. She didn't know what to do. She didn't know what to say. She wanted to say yes, but then again, she wanted to say no.

"I wi- I can't." She said slowly.

He frowned and shook his head. He stood on his feet looking at her.

"I can't. Maybe..I'm not ready..I never got to spread my wings." She quoted his mother.

"Every time you always end up with me anyways." He made a point.

"I'm still young." She said.

"How many times are you going to use that as an excuse?" He asked her.

He wasn't angry with her, but he was disappointed because it wasn't the answer that he expected. He worried that she would say 'no', but this was the first girl he ever felt ready to spend the rest of his life with and she was turning him down.

"It's not an excuse. It's a fact." She replied.

She couldn't believe she had said no, but her mind told her to. She wasn't listening to her heart anymore because it always led her into trouble.

"I'll come home with you..but I'm not staying at your place. I don't want to marry you right now..maybe-"

"Later?" He laughed, "You think I'ma wait..and chase you down? Nah." He shook his head.

"I'm sorry." She said.

"It's whatever. I'm officially done, I ain't gon' be on ya ass no more. Do ya thing, ma."

"Pharaoh-"

"Nah, I'm good." He said and walked out.

He was heartbroken, for the first time. He didn't know how to feel he could be angry, but he understood why she made the decision she made. He had often mistreated her, but this time he was going to do right by her, if only she'd let him.

Once he left, she packed up her stuff. Although, she felt bad, she was making decisions based off of what she wanted and not what everyone else wanted her to do. She went to the airport and ironically had to take the same flight as Pharaoh. She stood in line to board the plane, standing right behind him, but he ignored her. To make matters worse, they got seated right next to each other. He looked straight continuing to ignore her prescene, he was in his feelings, but she was also in hers. She debated whether she made the right decision or not.

Once the flight took off, she looked over at him.

"Pharaoh," She called his name softly.

He looked at her, she saw that he was angry.

"I'm sorry." She said.

He kissed his teeth.

"I don't want you to never speak to me again..I just want time to myself. To get to know me." She explained.

"I asked you to marry me and you said 'no'! And you still expect me to speak to you!" He yelled.

People turned to look at the two.

"Why are you causing a scene? I just want to have a reasonable conversation with you." She said.

"I don't want to have a reasonable conversation with you. I don't want to communicate with you after this!" Pharaoh yelled again.

"Is there a problem here?" The flight attendant came and asked.

"We good." Pharaoh barked at her.
