[I really apologize about the formatting..I'm doing this off my playbook which sucks! It literally took me like 3 days to get this chapter semi-proper..I know the timeliness skips quite a bit but I felt that it was necessary for what happens next]
3 MONTHS LATER....
Ka'Miko had told him time and time again that he didn't have to hustle and that they would be fine, but he stuck on him being the sole provider for them, he didn't want either of them to go without.
It was late night, Sunday morning when Pharaoh walked in Ka'Miko's apartment door. The house was silent, which he expected considering it was 5:30am. He spent his nights smoking, watching dancers, and selling, but nothing made him feel better than waking up to his daughter.. He slid off his shoes, and went into Ka'Miko's room where she was snoring lightly. Her bushy hair was fanned across the pillow He grabbed a towel, and took a shower to get the smell of weed and other women off of him. He moisturized his skin before sliding on his boxers and crawled in next to her. The shift in the mattress made her wake up a bit. Her eyes fluttered opened and squinted at the alarm clock on her side table. She saw that it was almost 6am, she sighed and turned to face him.
"Where you been?" She asked simply.
"Out." He kissed her.
She ducked her face under the blanket so only her eyes were showing.
"What's wrong?" He combed his fingers through her hair, even though he was tired, he still didn't mind talking to her.
She just shook her head. She wanted to tell him how much it bothered her that he left her all night long, she wasn't naive to what he did but she wanted his comfort and didn't want to chase him away. Sometimes she wondered why she even put up with him, but she knew why, she was in love with him. But, she didn't know how much longer she could hold her tongue.
"I love you." He told her.
"Mhm." She mumbled, and rolled her eyes.
Even with Pharaoh's knowledge of her being serious about them two, he was still hesitant to commit because they were both young, especially her, and he didn't want her to have any regrets. He was still out in the streets and wasn't sure if he was ready to let it go. Just as Pharaoh started to drift asleep Ka'Miko spoke.
"Pharaoh...I hope you're not doing anything to jeopardize our family." She said simply.
He rolled his eyes and turned to look at her. He didn't like when she was submissive,.but that's all she's done lately. A smirk played on his lips.
"What do you mean by that?"
"I'm glad you're entertained." She kissed her teeth and sighed, "I just...I just don't want to lose you over some bullshit."
"You don't have to worry about that." He said.
She just laid back down and went to sleep. She had a bad feeling about the things he had been doing. She was more worried about what their daughter's life would be like then her own.
Ka'Miko got up early, Pharaoh laid snoring next to her. She climbed out of bed, showered and decided to straighten her hair. After getting herself dressed, she made some breakfast for Khaleesi. It was only a few minutes later when she stumbled into the kitchen, rubbing her eyes with her fist.
"Hey pumpkin." Ka'Miko smiled and picked her up.
"Where's daddy?" It was always the first thing Khaleesi asked her. She adored her father, just as Ka'Miko had her own.
"Sleeping." She answered.
"I'm going." Khaleesi wiggled out of Ka'Miko's arms and ran off into the bedroom.
