HAZARD DISTRICT

3rd Chapter

Elisha was confused and horrified. She was in two minds. It was either a coincidence or her boyfriend had had a hand in the murder of the lady she met on the train. Elisha shook her head at the thought

'What are you doing?' Terris voice ringed in her ear. Elisha's eyes ballooned, but she got to her feet, with the trophy in hand.

'The fuck is this?' she asked sternly

'Babes…I got that from a garage sale' Terris declared 'I ain't ever lucky in life. Rather sad I know, but having at least a trophy in my life makes me feel like I have a purpose'

'Don't I make you feel wanted? Worthy?' Elisha asked firmly 'Please don't tell me what I'm dreading to hear. I call bullshit, you're one of the most confident people I know…I'm praying this doesn't belong to…'

Elisha has a glance at the name of the previous victor who won the trophy. It read 'Mohammed Mohammed' Elisha was baffled

'What the fuck? You think i stole it?' Terris barked

'Babes, i'm so sorry…I thought it belonged to someone I…sort of, knew'

'Can you hear how fucked you sound right now? Why would you think out of all the people in this city, it could belong to someone you knew?' Terris was visibly annoyed 'You need to calm down with that paranoia of yours, it's pissing me off'

'Alright, my mistake!' Elisha declared before placing the trophy back underneath the bed. Terris was completely unimpressed as he exited the bedroom. Elisha took a deep breath

The following day, Elisha was with her sister Damika sitting on a bench in the park on quite a summery day.

'Thanks for coming' Damika smiled. Elisha appeared neutral as she took a sip of her apple juice 'Well you could be a bit more…social'

'Fuck off Damika, I'm only here because you wanted me to be. I'm here for a while and then you'll never see me EVER again' Elisha barked

'Why the hostility for fuck sake? What's wrong with you?' Damika demanded

'Alright, i'll tell you' Elisha turned to her sister 'Our good old family, you included…You lot turned your back on me'

'How'd you figure that one out?' Damika asked

'You lot always had a problem with Terris. "Oh Terris ain't good for you" "Terris gives off a dodgy aura" Terris this, Terris That" You lot never gave him a chance!'

'But he is strange' Damika declared 'I'm not being funny but he seems like the type to be in some dodgy, quick-money schemes'

'Fuck you!' Elisha was unimpressed 'How dare you prejudge like that? How can you out of all people stereotype so blindly. You're a clown'

'No…I know how dodgy he is. I've heard about Terris…Or should I say 'Terror'' Damika replied as she put a chewing gum inside her mouth

'What did you just say?' Elisha asked

'I've heard that guy is called Terror on the streets and he is involved in some heavy-handed, dodgy bullshit. Not only me, Kennisha, Raynelle, Tyler, DeAndre, all of us know about that guy. I tried to tell you, our family and friends tried to tell you, but you were too blind to see. What the fuck is it gonna take for you to realise that you are in danger?'

'You don't know what you're talking about. He isn't dangerous, he works at a technology development firm. He gets money the clean and moral way. You lot didn't know SHIT, that's why i up and left'

'He's poisoned you so badly. I'm begging you Elisha, leave that crackhead. He is no good for you. I bet he's got a gang of hoes you are clueless about'

Elisha subsequently slapped her sister very hard across the face

'Now you listen to me you idiot bitch. Don't you ever come near me or Terris EVER again. I thought we were gonna catch up, but it was just another opportunity to cuss me and my man. Fuck you'

Elisha rose from her seat and hastily stormed off

'No…ELISHA WAIT, MAN!' Damika barked but to no avail, Elisha continued to walk off.

Late in the night, at a dimly-lit, secluded warehouse, a man of Korean descent was tied up by his hands from a pole, levitating off the ground. He appeared scared and confused.

'HELP! SOMEBODY, OH LORD, SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!' He barked as he tried to wriggle free from his position. Out of the darkness, three figures stood prominently in front of the man. The man's eyes opened with disbelief. It was Terris and two others

'TERRIS? WHAT THE FUCK YOU PLAYING AT' The man barked. One of the men punched the man extremely hard in the mid section, and then head butted him. The man groaned in extreme pain

'Shut the fuck up. Now you lost me quite a bit of money didn't you?' Terris asked in a mocking manner

'It…It was an accident' The man coughed 'Please, I'll get it back to you'

'Now I'm a lenient man…I GAVE YOU FOUR FUCKING CHANCES and look where it got me. Nowhere and STILL DON'T HAVE MY FUCKING MONEY!' Terris loud roar echoed in the warehouse

'Things have gotten real heavy for me, man. With the death of my two cousins, I haven;'t been thinking straight' The man weakly declared

'You think I give a flying shit about your idiot cousins? Dead or alive? Give me a fucking break, you clown' Terris mockingly grinned 'Quite frankly, I'm tired of chasing people who can't do jobs properly or follow simple fucking instructions. You're about to see your cousins. You can give them a hello from Terris now, won't you?'

'What the…NO TERRIS!' The man tearfully screamed. Terris laughed as he brought out a handgun.

SHOT!

SHOT!

SHOT!

SHOT!

SHOT!

SHOT!

Terris then placed the handgun in his pocket. The blood was draining out of the lifeless man's body.

'Get that piece of shit down from there and clean this shit up' Terris declared to his men. he men proceeded to get the dead man down.

Unknowing to Terris and his gang, someone had just witnessed the murder, peaking from outside.

It was Elisha.
