Manik's POV

"Manik! Manik. Uth jaa." I heard someone yelling for me to wake up, that made me wince at the loudness of the voice.

"Manik, c'mon, wake up. We'll get late, we need to go to the airport." This time it was a softer voice, waking me up by ruffling my hair. It made me sleep even mo- Wait. Airport! Shit!

I jolted awake from sleep with a jerk. Which I shouldn't have done. I immediately held my head in my hands groaning because it hurt like someone had hit me with a hammer in the head.

"Manik tum theek ho?" Nandini asked and stood up from the bed, "You drank so much last night, I was so worried for you. And this-" She pointed towards me holding my head, "is exactly how I imagined to see you. And that is why I've brought this." she told me, nodding towards the tray which she would have brought with 2 tablets of aspirin and a glass of water.

"Thanks." mumbled and gave a small smile gratefully, still not able to bear the throbbing of my head.

"It's ok. Just go and freshen up quickly, we'll be leaving at 6 that's in half-hour. In case you forgot, aaj Navya aur Cabir ki shaadi hai! And 12 baje haldi hai so we need to hurry. I'll be downstairs with everyone, be quick." With that she left my room. But what didn't go unnoticed by me is the fact that all the time she was avoiding my gaze. Did I do anything last night? What could possibly be the reason behind her behaviour?

Ugh, I can't remember anything apart from that I drank too much, which I shouldn't have, as I saw Nandu dancing with Aryaman, way too close. Then Cabir came to me asking me to stop drinking but I didn't budge and waved him off. I wasn't even that drunk, until I decided to not drink the cocktails anymore instead picked up the vodka bottle itself. After that everything just blacked out to me. I jus hope I didn't do anything stupid. Hope.

So I went down, after freshening up, carrying my suitcase and we all immediately took our places in the cabs. Actually only I was left, others were already there. I sat inside the cab closing it's door when everyone stopped talking and looked at me. What? Then they coughed, which was fake obviously, and turned back to whatever they were talking. Huh, weird!
Then I noticed Aryaman & Aisha sitting at the back with Nandini and Varun by their side. That's it. What the hell's going on here?!

"What is he doing here??" I asked pointing at Aryaman and maintaining my straight face, as if I was casually asking.

"Excuse Me!" Okay so maybe I was a bit rude, which is why Nandini and Aryaman replied like that.

"Uhm., I-I mean, no offence guys, I was just casually asking." No offence my foot!

"Uh yaa it's ok bro! By the way, we both are coming with you guys." He told me and I was just a second away from strangling him.

But composing myself I said, "th-that's cool!"

After that everyone went to their little chattering still no one spoke about last night. They were all busy talking to each other.
So I just plugged on my earphones and listened to all the melody songs.

We boarded the plane and this time too, maybe coincidentally, I sat with Nandu.

"Hi." I said awkwardly.

"Hey." She replied not looking up from her phone.

"Nandini, please tell me what happened last night? What did I do? Is it the reason you are avoiding me from the morning?" I asked, making sure my voice was serious enough for her to reply me.

"Manik, noth-"

"Oh now don't even think of pulling the 'nothing-happened' card," I didn't let her finish and told her, then held her hands and continued, "Nandu tell me, please. I'm sorry if I did anything stupid but tell me please."
