Nandini's POV

As I woke up to the bright rays of sunshine kissing my face, I felt nothing happy about the day ahead of me.
I had been patient yesterday but now I want to know. No, I need to know!

Manik was gone probably to freshen up. I had a long soothing shower and changed into a new hospital gown. God, I hate them! But luckily, I'll be discharged by tomorrow. After that, everybody came one by one to check up on me. Some people might find the over concern annoying but I think it's sweet.

"Oh good, you're ready!" Manik said as he entered the room and gently kissed me.

"Yes! Ooh what's that?" I asked excitedly as I saw a small brown bag in his hands.

"Those are especially for you, because I know how much you hate hospital food." He said and I practically snatched the bag out of his hands after giving him a big hug.

"Mani, You are a life saver!" I exclaimed, grinning as I saw my favourite cherry vanilla bagels.

He chuckled when I slapped his hand as he was about to take one. I nervously cleared his throat and spoke, "You wanna go to Varun's room now?"

He must have sensed my patience was running out, so I nodded my head in reply after finishing the bagel. We went to Varun's room to see Sanjana already there along with Sakshi aunty.

"Oh Nandu!" She hugged me tightly, "I came to see you this morning but you were sleeping, I'm just glad you are feeling so much better now.. Alright I should go now." She gave Varun and I a hug and left us in an awkward silence. None of us knew how to start the conversation.

"Okay, I think I should jump straight to the point.." He took a deep breath and looked down at his hands as he spoke, "When I couldn't find her anywhere, I got so scared.. I ran like a mad man outside. Then suddenly I thought maybe, she went back to her dorm. I took a cab and was at her door as soon as I could. I sneaked in the girls' dorms through my usual way. I knocked like a crazy person at her door, with no response." He discreetly wiped his eyes before continuing, "I panicked when I heard nothing from inside and tried breaking the door. I didn't care if someone saw me or anything at the moment. The door gave in to my efforts as the warden and the security rushed my way. But I stood frozen. My eyes stared blankly at the scene unfolding in front of me. I-I-" He choked on his tears but finally managed to croak out, "I saw my own f*cking girlfriend lying in a pool of blood dripping out of her slit wrist. I c-couldn't do anything! ANYTHING! While she bled to death." 

My hands flew to cover my mouth in shock. I would have never even imagined that it-it was..it was this. I felt a tear slide down my face as I listened to Varun crying in Sanjana's shoulder saying he should've been there earlier, that he should've known. 

"But she-she can't.. she won't bloody kill herself for what she saw!" Manik said in a raised voice.

Varun shook his head sadly, "She didn't." 

"What?" Manik looked a little shocked even though he knew there ought to be another reason.

"She was bullied." 

"No! No, NO! Sh-She would have told us. She would have told me!" 

"She had left a note at her desk. I-I was shocked too."

"Why would you not tell me something like that?!" Manik shouted momentarily losing his control.

"I tried! You pushed me away! You blamed me for it. Y-You were right though, I blame myself too. It is all my fault! It is my fault.." Varun spoke, looking frustrated at himself as tears flowed uncontrollably out of his eyes.
