The next night, I called Quinn.
"Quinn, I don't think our plan worked. Finn hasn't even talked to me since yesterday." I said.
"Oh c'mon, give him at least till Monday to express his feelings." She told me.
"I know Finn, and he's the type to say what's on his mind as soon as he can. He wouldn't wait till Monday."
"Well did you tell him we 'broke up'?" She asked.
"I posted it on Facebook, and he liked it." I told her.
"Rachel, sometimes you have to stand up and get what you want on your own." She said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Go. Out. And. Get. Him."
"You're right." I said. "I'm going to Finn's house right now."
"Oh no no Rachel I don't know if that's such a good ide-"
I hung up before she finish her sentence. I was too excited to listen to Quinn much longer, so
I ran downstairs. I put on my red flats, and reapplied my light red lipstick. I opened the door, but before I could step out of my small home, I saw something tall standing in my way.
"Finn?" I said as I look up at the tall figure. "What are you doing here?"
Instead of an answer, Finn leaned down, looked into my eyes, and kissed me.
As he pulled away, I smiled at Finn and he smiled back.
"I love you. And I'm sorry for breaking up with you, I don't know what I was thinking. You're the love of my life, Rachel." He said.
"You're mine too." I agreed.

"Yeah and he just told me he still loves me and we kissed and now we're back together." I told Quinn on the phone later that night.
"That's great, Rachel." She said.
"And I have you to thank for all of this." I said. "You're the best. I love you! Im so lucky to have you as a best friend."
"I love you too." She told me.
"Ok thank you so much, but I gotta go. Finn got us a reservation at Breadstix."
"That's okay, my mom wanted me to help her with set up at the church anyway." She said.
"Great! Okay, bye!" I said and hung up.
As if on cue, the doorbell rang. "Coming!" I yelled. I started to run down the stairs. I went to the mudroom and checked myself in the mirror. "Let's do this." I said to myself.
I walked up to the door and opened it, and before me stood Finn.
"You look beautiful, Rachel." He said.
"Thank you. Let's go?" I replied.
"Yes." He said. "Let's go."
I smiled as we walked to the car, but something didn't feel right. It didn't feel the way it used to. Before Santana. Had Finn changed? And was it Santana's influence that made it that way? Or had I changed? Maybe this was all in my head. I just wasn't used to this after a week of Finn not reminding how pretty I am.
We went to Breadstix, and had a lot of fun. We laughed, kissed, talked, and everything we used to do. The night was perfect. Until we saw Santana storm over to our table.
