"Hey! Hobbit! I needs to talk to you." She yelled.
"Oh god." Finn said, staring at Santana as she finally reached our table.
"I need to speak with the Hobbit alone." She said
"Santana, it's not going to-" Finn started.
"No, it's okay, I'll go deal with her in the bathroom." I whispered to Finn.
"Let's go." I said to Santana as I scooted out of the booth.
"You know what Santana?" I said when we got to the bathroom.
"What's that" she asked.
"I'm not gonna deal with your crap anymore. Just because Finn broke up with you does not give you the right to come and ruin our relationship. I love Finn and he loves me. He's done with you. We both are. So do me a favor and get the hell out of my relationship." I said.
Santana stared at me. And without any warning, she collapsed, and started crying.
"Umm... Santana?" I said.
There was an awkward moment of sobbing, before I asked again.
"Santana? A-are you okay?" I asked.
"Are you kidding?" She said between sobs. "I'm a single 17 year old who can't keep a boy for longer than a week, I'm at the bottom of the school food chain now that I'm in glee club, Sue's about to kick me off the Cheerios, and I might be questioning my sexuality."
As she said those last words, her hand covered her mouth and she looked up at me to see if I had heard what she said.
And I had.
My jaw dropped to the floor.
After a few moments of silence, she stood up and looked me deep in the eyes. "Don't you dare tell anybody I just said that." She told me and fell back to the floor.
I joined her on the dirty bathroom floor that smelled of hand soap, toilet water, and breadsticks.
"Santana," I started.
I looked at her.
"It's okay." I told her. "If you truly believe that you could be... lesbian, than you don't want to hide that. It's not something to be ashamed of"
"Maybe we may know that, but no one else is gonna understand." She said.
"Well, then you have to make them understand." I said. "Show them that you are who you are, no matter what."
"How?" She asked, looking back up at me.
"Just be you. No more, no less. And if they can't deal with the sassy, beautiful girl that is Santana Lopez, then who needs 'em" I answer.
"Thanks, Rachel. Behind that awful outfit and crooked nose, you really do have a big heart." She said.
"Thank you?" I said and smiled at her.
As we got up off the floor, I asked, "Do you have anyone in mind? You know for like dating?"
"Kinda, but she's dating Geeky McCripple Pants from glee club."
"You mean Artie?" I giggle. "Wait, you like Brittany?" I ask.
"Yes, okay? I've loved her since the first time I saw her in the locker room freshman year." She told me. "But like I said, she's dating Glasses."
"Hey Santana." I said.
"What?" She snakily replied.
"I don't think you want Brittany." I said.
"What the hell do you mean, hobbit?" She scolded.
"If you really wanted Brittany, you would have her right now."
"And how do you suppose I could do that?" She asked.
"Go. Out. And. Get. Her."
As I said these words, the memory of Quinn saying this to me crossed my mind. She really did help me. A lot. And without her, I probably wouldn't be back with Finn right now.
I hope I affect Santana that way, so when in the future, when Santana is driving her child to daycare, she can think of me, and how without me, baby Brittana wouldn't be alive.
I looked up from the ground I've been staring at, and notice that Santana was gone.
"You're welcome future Brittana baby." I whisper to myself.
I walk out of the bathroom with a big smile on my face.
"Hey Rachel, you guys were in there for a while, is everything okay?" He asked.
"Everything's just fine." I said.
