Ch.9: Yuuto's and Mori's Mistake

I decided to take a nap and Honey had joined me and snuggled in my arms. When he left my arms, I stirred awake and immediately a bear was on my face. I pull it off and see it Tamaki's bear, Kuma-chan. I make a face but set it aside.

"What are we gonna do!? She's awake!" I narrow my eyes at the loud talkers and stand up. I spot Usa-chan soaked in tea on the table.

"Who did it?" I ask. "I'm giving you a chance to tell the truth." I say looking at them as they trembled.

"It was-" The twins start.

"Takashi said that Usa-chan wanted tea!" Honey says happily and I sigh.

"I'll clean him up." I say, taking Usa-chan.

"Thanks, Yuu-chan!" He smiles and I nod, wringing it out on the four loud ones. They cry as tea sprinkles down on them and I leave to clean it.

When I got back, I was immediately pulled aside. "We stopped selling snacks, Honey got a cavity." The twin whispers, keeping an eye out for the boy in question.

"Oh... Is he okay?" I ask and they shake their heads. I decide to go see Honey and find him at my now empty baking station.

"Yuu-chan!" He cries, jumping in my arms.

"Mitsukuni, I heard. Usa-chan is clean though." I offer as he holds his toy close.

"Yuu-chan, I can still have a little bit of sweets, right? Right?" He asks with big wide hopeful eyes.

"Mitsukuni." Mori warns making Honey cry.

"It's best if you go see a dentist to fix your cavity sooner. Mori and I always warn you to take care of cleaning your teeth right  to prevent this. But if your cavity gets fixed you can eat more sweets and as long as you keep your teeth clean." I say, cheering him up.

"Okay, Yuu-chan!" He hugs me tight. "And then you'll make me cake and sweets right?" He asks and I give him a soft smile.

"Yes."

The next day in the Host Club, I sat with Mori since I had no baking to do. I was on my computer typing when Honey came running over with a bright and cute smile. "Yuu-chan! Takashi! My cavity is better!"

"Has it?" Mori asks.

"Yeah! And the swelling is gone!" He smiles brighter.

"Has it?"

"Mmhm, there's no more pain!" And at that, Mori gets up and shoves an ice cream pop in his mouth. Honey naturally bites down and freezes. "Ow!" He yells, holding his aching mouth with tears pooling in his eyes.

"Recovery seems a long way from now." Mori says, getting up. I go over and pick Honey up.

"Here, I'll help with the pain." I say, and bring him over to my baking station. Everyone watches closely to see if I'll give him sweets. "Do you mind peppermint? Peppermint oil is a natural home remedy for tooth pain." I explain.

"It hurts..." He whimpers and I get out the small bottle and drop some on a cotton swab. I gently rub the oil on to his aching tooth.

"Mm! It's sweet!" He smiles and I take out a small ice pack and wrap it in a thin cloth.

"Hold this to where it hurts and I think the swelling will go down. I'll give Takashi the oil in case it hurts when your home. But use it sparingly and only when it hurts." I say and he nods smiling. He hugs me tight making me smile.

"Thanks Yuu-chan! It feels better already!" He says and I smile, setting him down. I hand Mori the oil and he nods.

"It won't affect the cavity but you shouldn't let him use it too much." I inform and he nods.

"Thanks."

The next day Honey comes to me with tears in his eyes. He climbed into my arms as I asked what was wrong. "Yuu-chan, did I do something wrong to make God hate me?" He asks and I frown.

"Mitsukuni, I know you wish to have sweets but cheating yourself won't help you. You could get worse and I don't want you in pain. It'll pass sooner if you do what you're suppose to do and not eat sweets." I assure as I set him down.

I already knew he failed with Haruhi and got Kyoto Kelp. Mori and I had gave a firm warning to everyone not to give Honey sweets. Haruhi was worried shed receive punishment for caving but I assured her it didn't. After all, it only just looked like chocolate. It was nothing near real chocolate though.

Honey was vary irritable during the Host Club. We didn't open because of it. It was the third day without candy and we were all worried.

"Yuuto-senpai, Mori-senpai, do something. He's scaring me." The twins say as I sipped my water and typed on my computer and Mori read a book.

"He's going into the snack room!" Tamaki yells.

"Those have been cleared out." Kyoya says with a small grin.

Honey opens a cabinet and pulls out Kuma-chan. And then throws it on to the floor causing Tamaki to yell.

"Kyoya, could you help me here?" I ask and he nods and I explain my situation. He nods giving me device and explaining pros and cons of what I wanted to do.

Tamaki wanted to comfort Honey after he gave up and fell down but Honey bit him with an unrelenting grip. I looked to Mori and he nodded so I could finish my work with Kyoya.

"Mitsukuni, do not take your anger out on other things or people." Mori says and Honey let's go, freezing. "It's disgraceful." And at that Honey turns around with a dangerous look on his face.

"Takashi... You idiot!" He yells, throwing him over using his weight. I appear and Mori rolls off my back and lands on his feet perfectly as I caught Honey's hand and gave him a firm look.

"Mitsukuni!" I bark, startling everyone and him. "You will not take you anger out on others when they only want to help you. This is a price to pay for not taking care of yourself when you chose to eat the sweets you enjoy. Takashi, do not blame yourself or punish yourself for something as trivial as this. Yes you feel responsibility for him but when he fails to take care of himself, with or without your help, some things are unavoidable. Both of you are being unreasonable and fail to see things from each other's perspective. Work this out, because you both have caused unnecessary problems." I say, letting go of Honey's arms.

I swiftly turn on my heel and walk to the table and hesitate before closing my laptop. Kyoya comes with me as I stride out. I stop at a window and lean against it with a sigh. "So even you get overwhelmed." He says and I grin tiredly.

"My father knows how to bluff well. Without you I would've been done for. I followed your advice and you were right... But I guess my frustration got the best of me." I shrug.

"But you had a fair point in scolding Mori-senpai and Honey-senpai. I think your talk with them will benefit them both. You channeled your feelings into a more positive way." He reasons and I shrug.

"I'll apologize tomorrow, it doesn't change why I yelled at them." I say and he shrugs.

"It's okay, Yuu-chan! I'm sorry I made you feel frustrated!" Honey yells with tears in his eyes. He jumps in my arms. "I'll take care of myself! I'll take responsibility! I promise!" He says and I pat his head.

"Sorry for yelling at you." I say softly but he shakes his head.

"No, thanks to you, Takashi and me are better!" He smiles and I give him a soft one.

"Alright..." I whisper and carry Honey over to Mori. He gives me a small smile and nods as he takes him.

"Thank you." He says and I nod.

"It was nothing. Despite what I said... I still feel a small sense of guilt and blame for this."
