We had left the party early and headed home while Karou watched with a knowing grin. There after was an awkward but warm experience. We blushed a lot when our hands would touch or eyes met. It was a new experience for us both and we weren't sure what we should do next or if we should tell anyone.
But after fifteen minutes of awkward unsureness, we both just grabbed each other's hands and smiled, still blushing though. We both silently told each other not to overthink but just live and enjoy this time.
We watched a movie together but he brought up the host club. We ended up laughing at their possible reactions to us being together.
We both fell asleep during the movie but when I woke up during the ending credits, I noticed how he firmly clung to me, almost wholly on top of my small form. I was use to this after many years of my younger siblings sneaking into my bed to sleep. The feeling it gave me... Was comforting. I fell asleep again, unbothered by his attachment but rather joyed by it.
~~That Morning (3rd POV)~~
"Hikaru... Hikaru, wake up for school." Karou poked his brother not wanting to wake Yuuto out of fear for her morning wrath and because he wanted to see Hikaru's face when he realized where he ended up sleeping and with who.
"Mm..." Was all he got and so his twin deviously pinched his side. "Ow!" He jumped at the sudden sting of pain. In response Yuuto shifted under him, making him freeze.
Karou held in his laughter as his brother's face turned bright red. He picked his head up from the cushion of the couch and saw Yuuto's sleeping face right next to where his would be.
He couldn't fully get up because she had her arm go under his and held his shoulder while her other arm was slung across his back, holding him to her, basically on top of her.
"H-Hikaru, imagine what'll happen when we wake her up." Karou struggled to hold his laughter.
"S-shut up, Karou." Hikaru hissed. "Yuuto promised she'd skip school with me the other day. We're-"
"So your gonna spend the day alone together? You two are moving quick-"
"No! I wanted to see if... If she liked me so I could... You know... Ask her out. But now-"
"Wait until everyone else hear-"
"No!" He yells and they both freeze as Yuuto shifts under, snuggling closer to him, earning a blush from Hikaru.
"You don't want anyone to know?" Karou asks, confused.
"No, I want to know what Yuuto wants to do. Just tell them her arm hurts and I'm taking care of it." Hikaru suggests and Karou's eyes move to her arm.
"Hm? She knows how to use makeup, you can't tell there was a bruise." Karou observes her "bare" arm. "Imagine how she'll look on your next date..." He wiggles his eyebrows suggestively.
"Stop it, Karou. Go to school before you're late." He humphs, laying down then blushing as he realized he put himself back on top of her shoulder, her face pressed to his neck.
Karou laughed as he left them to their own. Seeing him like that with her... He didn't feel sad like he expected or lonely. Just happy for them. And maybe even a little... Free.
~~Present (Yuuto's POV)~~
Waking up under him while he was still asleep was a new and hilarious experience. It took five minuets to pry him off and crawl out from under him. I took note that he was a heavy sleeper.
He was sweet and playful when he saw me making breakfast although I made sure not to make him suffer without any sugary baked sweets while I had a more balanced breakfast.
Spending the day together was different. He really got me talking about everything about how to make a cake to why I didn't like bugs.
We both sat together outside on the terrace with a bowl of chocolate dipped pretzel sticks. He ate the chocolate half because that was the only reason he eats them and gave me the non-chocolate half.
Hikaru had just finished recalling his battle for the chocolate side of the chocolate pretzel sticks with Karou, since Karou only ate the chocolate half as well, and it left me rolling in laughter.
"Wow, Yuu-chan has a nice laugh." We both hear, making us freeze. It was obviously Honey and that obviously meant Mori, and then the two of them meant the Host Club.
We were both sitting on the couch next to each other, casually holding hands over our bowl of pretzels. We cautiously turn our heads to look behind us to the angry Host Club and a smirking Karou.
"Skipping school... Daddy does not approve!" Tamaki yells.
"I honestly did not expect you to be the delinquent type, Yuuto-senpai." Kyoya adds, pushing up his glasses.
"Honestly guys, school is important. You shouldn't be skipping for no reason." Haruhi scolds lightly.
"Skipping is a no, no." Honey wags a finger although we're both unaffected.
"Yeah." Mori agrees.
"Karou, you weren't suppose to tell them, tattletale." Hikaru sticks his tongue out at him, pulling the skin under his eye down.
"Hikaru had me promise to skip." I explain plainly and Tamaki glares at him.
"You're a bad influence on my daughter! I do not approve!" Tamaki yells although we're indifferent and just grab a pretzel stick. We simultaneously bite our favorite part off and hold out the other half to each other. We both chuckle when we realized we did the same thing and take each other's preferred half.
They come around and they all take focus of our linked hands. Hikaru and I smile sheepishly at each other before biting into our pretzels as our hands tightened in each other.
We startle, the moment ending, when we hear Tamaki scream. "Daddy does not approve!"
"Tamaki-senpai, leave them alone." Haruhi scolds with narrowed eyes.
"I'm surprised you didn't see it sooner, boss." Karou comments making him confused.
"Sooner!? What do you mean!?" Tamaki yells making us chuckle and Kyoya shakes his head.
"You have poor sense of perception. It was obvious-"
"Obvious!?" Hikaru yells in outrage.
"That Hikaru liked Yuuto-senpai since summer at Karuizawa are even early as when we went to my private beach." Kyoya concludes to him as he thought intently... It looked painful.
"Yuu-chan..." I hear Honey say looking a little green, a cake in front of it.
"Yes, Mitsukuni?" I ask eyeing him with worry.
"Uh... Nothing-"
"If it tastes bad just tell me." I say and his eyes water.
"I'm sorry Yuu-chan!" He yells, throwing himself in my arms. "M-Maybe you d-didn't put enough sugar or-"
"Mitsukuni, that's the cake Hikaru made. If you want cake you can have the one at the other end of the table." I advise and he eyes the other cake at the other end of the table.
"Awe, you ruined the prank I was gonna pull on Karou." Hikaru pouts making me giggle.
"He didn't put enough sugar and put in salt instead with some other spices that aren't usually in cakes." I explain making Karou scowl. I saw Honey immediately devour my cake, his joy was evident.
"Oh, Yuuto-senpai, for some reason my father wants to talk and it's really important, but you but you weren't at school. What's that about?" Tamaki asks making my eyes widen, and lips part. Millions of emotions flood through me but mostly fear.
"Yuuto? Are you okay?" Hikaru asks, looking worried.
"I... I don't know."
