Chapter 10

Crystanya POV

Well here we go, I thought to myself as my mother and I walked into Geralds house. My body was almost shaking knowing that I was seconds away from seeing his face again. How was my mother going to react I wondered. Damien had met me in the forest on the way back to my mothers and asked me to keep the reason for the meeting to myself. I had agreed as long as he told my mom nothing about the mating of Kain and me. Smiling to himself he agreed and walked me back to my mothers. Now we were standing in the living room of Geralds place waiting for the pack meeting to start.

Seconds before hearing Damien and Gerald begin to speak I felt the electric pull coming from behind me. Turning with a smile on my face I looked into his deep blue eyes and instantly felt calm. I heard an audible gasp come from my mother as I turned and walked into his arms, allowing myself to be lost in those eyes. Smirking to myself I turned so Kains arms were around my waist with my back against his chest. As my eyes caught my mothers I could see rage brimming in them, making my smirk widen. I could tell she didn't want me near him, but now that we were mated she couldn't keep us away from eachother.

"Can we have your attention please?" Damien asked the three of us, trying to keep the smile off his face. "We have important news to share with you."

Kain and I nodded already knowing what the news was. My mother growled low and turned back to the place where my uncle and Kains father were standing. As she saw them her eyes grew wide and she began to shake visibly. Prying myself out of Kains arms I walked over to my mother and wrapped my arms around her as she buried her head in my shoulder. I could feel  her warm tears making the shoulder of my t-shirt wet. Never had I seen my mom so vulnerable and scared.

"Serena I'm sorry that this is so hard for you." I heard Gerald say to my mother, the pain obvious in his eyes. "I really am."

"Gerald thats enough." Damien said taking a look around.

Following my uncles eyes I took stock of everyone in the room. I recognized half of the faces in the room but a lot of them were strangers to me. I assumed that they were members of Geralds pack and dismissed it paying more attention to the members of my pack. I saw Drew sitting in a corner looking upset about something and I felt a twinge of guilt. He had just told me how he felt and here I was with my mate shoving it into his face as well as my mothers. Shaking those thoughts away I continued looking around. Marci and Derek were close to Damien and looked as though they were very upset about what was going on.

"Now I'm sure you are wondering why we are here. I know that we have bad feelings towards eachother, but I ask you all take a minute to listen before you decide to rip eachother apart." Gerald chucked as he said the last sentence while scanning the room to make his point to his pack members. "Alpha Damien from the Red Glades Pack is going to talk now so you all need to give him a chance." With that he stepped back and nodded to Damien getting him to step up.

"Hello and welcome to this important meeting." Damien looked nervous as he began to speak. "Alpha Gerald and I have been discussing some things this week that have an impact on everyone. As Gerald has said we all have mixed feelings between eachother. I understand that this may be a shock to you all but at the next full moon Gerald and I will be joining the Silver Sunrise Pack and the Red Glades Pack together."

There were a few seconds of silence before the whole room erupted in angry shouts and jeers about the change of events. My mother stiffened in my arms and lifted her head from my shoulder glaring at my uncle. I knew she was going to flip out so I dropped my arms and stepped back into Kains waiting ones, getting comfy in preperation for the show. Kain stood there looking at me confused and I just smiled and shook my head. The confused look didn't go away but he shrugged and looked towards his father again.
