Chapter 12

Crystanya POV

What do I do? I kept repeating to myself over and over again. My mother had came into the living room and told me why she didn't want us together and then stated that she was happy for me. Kain looked like he was about to have a heart attack as my mom turned to him and told him if he hurt me she would have his head on the mantle. Feeling his arm tighten around my waist I realized I chuckled out loud at the memory.

"What's so funny?" Kain asked sleepily.

"Just remembering the talk with my mom." I said turning over and placing a small kiss on his lips.

Groaning he rolled me on top of him and placed his hands on my face. "Please tell me she was kidding." He said softly caressing my cheeks.

"No such luck babe." I said with an evil smirk. "She was 100% serious. I'm her baby and only child so you're screwed."

Smacking my butt lightly he let out a soft growl and kissed me with more force. I would have continued where his mind was leading but I heard my mom call up the stairs to us for dinner. Sighing I crawled out of bed and wrapped my purple silk robe around me. Smiling at Kain I slipped my hand into his and pulled him out of bed and let him get dressed. Just as I went to open my bedroom door Kain swept me up bridal style and walked me down the stairs and towards the kitchen.

"Kain!" I screeched burying my face in his shoulders.

He ignored me and continued into the kitchen sitting me in my chair at the table. Laughing, embarrassed I looked at the table trying not to meet the three other pairs of eyes at the table. Wait, I thought to myself, 3 pairs? Glancing up quickly I smiled a bit wider when my curious eyes met my uncle Damiens. So he was still here from this morning, good mom needed him. Thinking about their fight at Geralds house made me realize Marci and Derek wern't here.

"Wheres aunti Marci and Derek?" I asked trying to get the attention off of me.

Looking down at the table Damien smiled sadly. "She found her mate."

"Who?" I asked shocked, I had always thought that they were mates.

"Gerald." He whispered causing Kain and I to gasp.

Deciding to drop the subject as mom brought us our dinner the table fell silent. As we all enjoyed our meal I couldn't shake the feeling that something was going wrong. I didn't have to wait long to figure out what as Kain jumped up from the table and growled. Three men came bursting through the front door screaming and I watched as Damien and Kain shifted. At the same moment my mother grabbed my hand and led me upstairs into her room and locked the door. After a few minutes it was silent downstairs all sounds of a fight gone. Looking at my mother I noticed that she was scared.

"Kain what's going on?" I asked through our mind link.

Silence greeted me. I knew he was still alive because I still felt whole but something wasn't right. No matter what he would always answer me, it wasn't like him to not answer. Panicking I unlocked the door and ran downstairs bursting into the kitchen to see a disaster area. The counters were broken and the fridge had a huge dent in it, making me wonder who got shoved into it. Looking around I realized Kain and Damien were nowhere around. Screaming I ran outside to follow there scent and found that it stopped at the end of our property. Shifting I howled in pain as I realized that my mate and uncle were gone.

Kain POV

Waking up to a killer headache brought the memories of the fight back to me. The three men ran into the house with guns drawn and before either one of us had the chance to jump on them the leader discharged his gun 4 times hitting Damien and me twice each. Growling I watched as Damien staggered and fell to the ground as I felt the feel of everything slowing. Assholes shot us with tranquilizers I realized before everything went black. Now I was in a dark room laying on a bed, trying to stretch I realized that my arms and legs were bound with silver chains.

My head snapped to the side as I heard a groan coming from the other end of the room. "Who's there?" I called out warily.

"Kain is that you? Where the hell are we?" I sighed in relief as I heard Damien's voice cut through the darkness.

"I don't know, but I think it's hunters that took us. Their stench is everywhere." I shook my head in frustration as I pulled against my bindings.

"Why would hunters want to kidnap us? Normally they just kill our kind." Damien must have realized he was bound as well as I heard the rattle of chains coming from his side of the room.

As if to answer our question the sound of a deadbolt being drawn back came from across the room from our beds. As the door opened the room was flooded with light causing me to squint my eyes as they adjusted to the harsh glare coming from outside the room. A figure walked into the room and right away I could smell that it was a wolf causing a low growl to come from my throat. The figure chuckled at me making the deep growl coming from my throat louder.

"Awe, baby you can't be that angry with me." I heard a familiar female voice state.

"Jasmine you psychopath you best let us go." I growled in my Alpha tone. I hadn't got the title from my dad but being the Alphas son made it work almost as well.

"Oh did I forget to mention I left your pack two days ago? Alpha tone won't work on me sweetheart." She laughed, throwing her head back. "Also in answer to your question Damien I have a few friends here and we all have plans for you. So we won't kill you, yet."

"You won't get away with this for long Jasmine." I snarled. "Our pack will find us they won't stop until your dead."

"That's why we have an ace in the pocket. Your pretty little mate won't know what hit her." With that said Jasmine turned out the door and walked away after giving somebody the order to give us water.

At the mention of my mate I began to worry. I missed her already and needed to be there to protect her but it seemed as though that wasn't going to happen. I drew strength from memories of her smile and face as well as her body wrapped in my arms. I didn't know how long I would be here but I knew that when I got out of this I would never again spend more than a second out of her sight.
