10) Only the band members of Maroon 5 (and Billy Joel) know the reason behind the name Maroon 5. Adam Levine said it's such a horrendous tale that shrouding it in mystery makes it a better story than the actual story. He did, however, reveal the secret to legendary singer Billy Joel who, upon meeting Levine, asked where the name came from. Levine said he folded and told Joel because the singer is one of his musical heroes. *goddammit*
