1) Schulman started taking pictures and became involved with photography after having studied dance for 5 years.

2) In 2004, Schulman started photographing dance as he became involved with the contemporary ballet community in New York City.

3) He is of German Jewish, and Romanian descent.

4) In May 2016, Schulman announced he was expecting his first child, a baby girl, with his girlfriend, Laura Perlongo. The couple got engaged on May 22, 2016.

5) He still wears a retainer almost every night.

6) He has a second set of nipples. "They're really small and cute."

7) He hopes to live in Paris some day.

8) Schulman is a founding member of the Young Leadership Committee for the youth organization, Leave Out Violence.
