Steph's POV

Waking up to the smell of good breakfast motivated me to get up and actually go through with the day. After doing my daily routine I walked out, seeing Dean on the stove.

"Hope your hungry." He turned around, smiling at me.

"Thanks, and good morning." He handed the plate to me and I sat down and ate in the most awkward silence.

"So how have you been?" He asked.

"Fine." I made it short, stuffing a fork full in my mouth.

"You're gonna have to get used to us being partners, so with us being partners mean we need to communicate."

"You seem to be confused between business and personal problems. I only want to communicate if it's about wrestling. Not what happened last year."

"Can we talk? Let's just talk and I'll leave it alone. I swear." He pleaded. I shook my head and swallowed, folding my arms.

"Floor is yours."

As soon as he was about to talk my phone rang. Literally saved by the bell. I picked it up and left the table, talking to Randy.

"I'm downstairs." He told me. I hung up and grabbed my bag.

"Where are you going? I wasn't done." Dean followed me.

"I'm going to mind my business, you should do the same." I told him.

"You are my business!" He yelled before I walked out of the door.

Dean's POV

Once she left I debated on checking her phone, so of course I did. She wasn't talking to anyone, so that's how I knew she wasn't over me. She still had faith in us.

"I forgot my- Jon why do you have my phone?" She exclaimed, snatching it out of my hand.

"You still love me don't you? Admit it." I grabbed her by her wrist.

"Don't touch me. Don't." She protested, but still didn't answer my question.

"I asked you a question." I grabbed her by the neck and pushed her against the wall. Her breathing quickened right with mine.

"You used to love when I did you like this. Hell, you still do." I coated her neck with my tongue, hearing her moan gave me my answer.

"That's what I thought." I let her go and she hurried back out of the room.

If she wanted to pretend she didn't want me, I could always do the same.

Steph's POV

"I just don't get him sometimes. He's so irresistible but at the same time I hate him." I explained to Randy as we walked back from the gym. I've known Orton  since we were freshmans in high school. He was the only one I actually trusted when it came to talking about my love life.

"What if he has changed? I've made a bunch of mistakes and such, but all that is important after the mistake is making your wrong a right. You're very stubborn, I think you just miss the sex is all." He joked. I laughed and shook my head at his accuracy.
