FORTY FOUR

Steph's POV

I woke up and looked down seeing Roman's legs tangled in mine while he hovered over me, crushing my whole body.

"Roman." I whispered. He groaned but didn't open his eyes.

"I have to pee." I muttered trying to push him off but he held me even tighter.

"Joseph!" I yelled. He jumped up and looked down at me.

"I have to pee. Please let me go." I pleaded. He chuckled.

"Why didn't you just say so?" He asked moving away.

"I did." I said before running to the bathroom. I finished my business and climbed back in bed with him. I pulled the blanket over me and moved closer to him.

"We have to go to smackdown tonight." He muttered, shutting his eyes.

"Yeah I know. I just want to stay here with you." I said making him smile.

"Well, we get a week off soon. Do you want to stay and vacation with us?" He offered.

"Who else is going?" I asked.

"Dean Seth and I got a house together in Florida, Seth can bring Kaitlyn, Dean could bring AJ and I can bring you." He said. I stayed silent and thought for a minute.

"Shit, I can't. Uncle Shawn's birthday is in a few days and he wants me there. I can't miss it." I said. His beautiful smile disappeared

"It's fine babe. Don't worry about it." He sounded slightly upset.

"I'm sorry." I caressed his cheek.

"I understand." He muttered before getting up and walking off to the bathroom. I got up and threw on sweats and a t shirt. I slipped my shoes on and grabbed my phone. I made my way to Seth's and Kaitlyn's room. I explained the situation to her, not sure of what I should do.

"So he's upset that you can't make it?" Kaitlyn asked sitting on Seth's lap.

"Yeah. I want to but it's uncle Shawn's birthday. He wants me there." I said.

"I sort of feel where he's coming from though Steph. Everyone is gonna have their girlfriend there and he's just gonna be lonely." Seth spoke and I nodded agreeing with him.

"You're right. I'll figure something out like always."

Smackdown Tapings -

I got dressed in my attire and zipped up my vest. Roman was still giving me the silent treatment. Seth was with Kaitlyn in her locker room and Dean was with AJ in hers. He finally broke the silence.

"Hey since you can't be there is it alright if I invite an old friend? Her name is Leah, we've known each other since high school so it's nothing you should worry about."

"I don't feel comfortable with you being with another girl. It's a couples vacation, not a school reunion." I said.

"Why?" He asked.

"I don't trust any other woman around you while I'm gone. Only your mother. I would never do that to you so don't do it to me Joe. You'd say no to me too if I asked something like that."

"Babe, please you have to trust me. I'd never do anything with her. You're the one I want." He whispered wrapping his arms around my waist.

"Cute, but the answer is still no. Sorry." I kissed him.

"I understand. I'm sorry I asked." He told me as we kissed again.

"Look at the love birds." Dean spoke as he came walking in with a smirk. He seemed a bit off and different today.

"Well look who's all unicorns and rainbows." I smiled.

"Of course. AJ said she'd come with me to the house. Are you going?" He asked lacing up his boots.

"Nope. Uncle Shawn's birthday."

"Oh. Well tell him happy birthday even though he hates me." He smirked. I laughed and shook my head.

"Will do."

Smackdown was over and Dean, Seth, and Roman were dropping me off at the airport. AJ and Kaitlyn stayed in the car. I hugged Seth and fist bumped Dean. They went back to the car leaving me and Roman alone. We hugged and his hand rested on my back.

"I'll see you in a week. Can you hang in there?" I asked smiling. He chuckled and softly kissed me.

"Yeah I'll try. Call me when you land."He whispered. I nodded and gave him a longer kiss before I walked off to the airport.

I boarded my plane about 20 minutes later and rested back, closing my eyes. I was so curious of how this would all play out. I hope it didn't end bad.
