Those Things Don't Lie

Yousef POV

We had just came back from the store and we were both excited. We were unpacking the shopping when Lilly brought the box in my face.

"I'm going to check later" She kisses me on the cheek and puts away the box. We decided to get some work done in our spare time until Lilly went to the kitchen.

"Good luck babe" I blew a kiss and she caught it. She took the box and walked to the bathroom.

I was really nervous for the results. I wanted us to start a family with her. We had tried once but there was no heartbeat inside and she was bleeding.

10 minutes later, she walks towards me in a mood. Her body collapses on the couch and she sighed.

"I effing give up" I put my hands to my head. She showed me the stick.

One line.

"We're trying and soon we'll have a little yoully baby running around" We hug for a while and she pulls away.

"What if I have a disease or a curse" She wipes her tears and stares at the stick.

"Lord knows what's going to happen. In the meantime, we'll just have to wait" I kiss her forehead and rub her shoulder.

- 4 months later -

Lilly POV

Since the devastating news, I got really sick. We said it was because of the chicken wrap I accidentally ate at the dinner. So I stayed in bed for at least a week.

Also, pains. Too much actually. We're on our way to the hospital. I found it hard to walk because I've gained some weight.

"Um hello Lilly, what's the problem?"

I explain my problem and he laughs. My mood has kicked in.

"I'm a ill woman and you want to laugh at me! How dare you!" I roll my eyes in anger

"Mrs Erakat, you're pregnant"

"Wait what" Me and Yousef were shocked.

"But the pregnancy test said the opposite to what you've said to me"

The doctor shrugs and walks out of the room. I instantly hug Yousef and we both have tears streaming down.

"I love you"

"I love you too"

We got home and immediately started baby shopping. I open Twitter and tweet:

My mentions and notifications were blasting with congratulations tweets and it made me warm inside.
