Part 4

(JOHNNY'S POV)
When we left Carter and Treys house the walk was silent and sorta awkward so I decided to make small talk. "So uh...got any other family out here." I said. "No it's just me and my kid sister now...well besides our parents, all our other family moved to NYC a few months ago." Trey said. "Oh cool my buddy Dal used to live in NYC before he came here." I added. I noticed Carter still hasn't said anything and she had a blank look on her face. "You alright CJ" I heard Trey say. "Yeah I'm fine" she said. "CJ...what does that stand for" I asked. "Carter Jane" she told me. "Wow what a pretty name" I added and blushed a little. She smiled. "So you got any nicknames?" she asked me. "Uh well it's kinda embarrassing but the gang all calls me Johnnycakes" I said in a shy tone. She laughed "I like it Johnnycakes" she said. "So uh how much longer is the walk" I heard Trey ask. "Oh it's right around the corner" I told him. "Ok good I'm getting tired of walking" he added. We got to the Curtis household and Ponyboy, Sodapop, and Dally were all sitting in the living room watching Mickey Mouse. Steve and Two-bit were eating chocolate cake in the kitchen. I introduced them to Carter and Trey. "She ya girlfriend?" I heard Two-bit yell from the kitchen. I looked over and Carter was blushing and I was too. "No she ain't my girlfriend Two"I yelled at him. "Oh well do ya like her then Johnnycakes" Steve hollered. Everyone laughed and I just said no and went to the kitchen and punched his arm. "Isn't there supposed to be 7 of y'all"  I heard Trey ask Soda. "Yeah my older brother Darry is at work" he answered. Trey nodded.

(CARTER'S POV)
After Johnny introduced us to the gang and stuff we all just talked for a little to really get to know each other. "So do y'all want to go to the lake today" Ponyboy asked us. "Hell ya lets go...haven't been there for a while" Dally said. So we all agreed to go to the lake. First me and Trey went back home and grabbed our swim cloths. I wore a a real pretty white two piece and some cute red flip flops. I put on a shirt and shorts for the walk over. Trey just put on a Tshirt and some blue swim shorts. We walked over to the lake which wasn't far from our house. "Trey looked at me on the way over and looked kinda angry. "What swim suit are you wearing Carter?" He asked. I showed him my swim suit. "Why'd you wear that one" he added. "I don't know I just put it on, what's the big deal." I asked him. "Well we are going to the lake with a bunch of guys you know"he reminded me. "So, it's a swim suit." I told him. "Well if anyone of them touch you or try to flirt with you I will have there asses ya hear me." I rolled my eyes at him. "Ok but I'm 15 years old and still growing up... You might just have to deal with it." I said looking annoyed. "You know what Carter you are right...but ask me if your gonna do anything with anyone okay." I looked confused. "What do you mean by do anything... I'm not gonna have sex with any of them Trey" "I didn't mean it like that... I meant if your gonna date anyone." He told me. "Well about that..." I said shyly. "Wait are you dating some one!" Trey interrupted. "No no I just-well I think I kinda like someone." I told him. "Oh well can you tell me who it is?" "I think I like J-Johnny" I said. "Johnny? Oh well uh I guess that's ok... You can date him if you want." He told me. I smiled and said "thank you Trey your the best big bro ever" I said excitedly and gave him a big hug. Then I looked over and the whole gang was looking at us. We didn't even realize we had gotten to the lake already. Luckily no one heard our conversation.
