Part 18

(JOHNNY'S POV)

We finally got to my house and Soda pulled into the driveway. We hopped out of the car and went inside. Carters never actually been inside my house so I was pretty nervous about what she would think. When we stepped inside she looked around for a second. "Johnny you made it seem like you lived in a complete dump. This place isn't half as bad as you made it seem." She said. "Well definitely not as nice as your house." I said." "Johnny is doesn't matter what your house looks like it only matters that it's your home." she told me. "Sometimes I wish it wasn't though." I said. "Why do you say that?" she asked. "It's nothing" I say and walk away. She grabbed my hand. "Johnny whats wrong...are you okay?" she asked. I sighed. "Carter there's a reason I never talk about my family." I said. "You can tell me." she said. "Carter they hate me...they beat me physically everyday they are here, they leave for weeks at a time and don't tell me, they yell at me, They-they just hate me." I began to tear up. "Johnny...it's okay, you have me." she said. I hugged her and started to cry. "I know baby...it's just hard to talk about." I said. "I know how you feel...Johnny I don't even have parents anymore." she told me. "So I guess we can both say we have a pretty crappy family...pretty much no family." I said. "But Johnny we do have family...the gang, Trey, and each other...That's real family." She said. "The best kind of family." I said and smiled. She kissed me on the lips. "So Johnny can you show me your room." Carter said. I showed her my room and she put all her stuff on my bed and changed into some more comfortable clothes. After she was changed we just sat on my bed. "I had a lot of fun tonight Johnny." she said. "Me too" I said.

(CARTERS POV)

"So when are your parents supposed to be coming back." I asked Johnny. "Well they left a note saying 2 weeks but who knows with them." he said. "I cant believe they would just leave you like that." I said. "Nah I'm used to it...they once left me alone for almost a month and I still to this day have no idea where they went." he told me. "Wow you had a pretty tough life..I can relate." I said. "Yeah I guess you can...I'm really sorry about the whole situation CJ." he said. "It's okay it's just hard not to think about, but honestly I'm over it, I have you and the gang to keep things off my mind." I told him. He smiled. "You know I love you right" he said. "I love you too baby." I told him. He then wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed me. He pulled away but I pulled him straight back on to me. The small kiss we shared soon turned into a full make out on his bed. After a good minute of this he lifted me on to his lap, never loosing contact with my lips. I wrapped my arms around his neck and continued making out with him. Soon we pulled away and were left breathing heavily, me still straddling him. I let out a sort of chuckle and he smiled. "Um should I-" I began to say while slowly getting up. "No way" he said. Just as I was about to kiss him again the door burst open. "JOHNNY CADE WHO THE HELL IS SHE!" I heard Johnny's dad scream. I immediately jumped off of Johnny. "Dad what are you doing here already?" Johnny asked. "We decided to come home early...What the hell are you doing!?" His dad yelled. "Wait till your mother finds out." He said. Johnny's eyes began to fill with tears. "You know what...tell her, I don't give a damn!" Johnny yelled. I just sat there quiet. "Come on Carter." Johnny said and pulled me out of his room. "Where are you going!?" His dad yelled. Johnny just kept running. We passed his mom on the way out the door, she looked confused. "JOHNNY!" I heard her scream. We ran out the door and down the street. I could hear his dad yelling at us not far behind. "Get your ass over here!" He yelled. Johnny never stopped running. I ran with him the whole time. After a good 10 minutes of running we looked back. His dad was no where to be seen. "Johnny I think we lost him." I said breathing heavy. He was quiet. "Johnny I...I'm sorry" I said quietly putting my hand on his shoulder. He pushed my hand away. "Johnny?" I said. "Just leave" he said under his breath. "What?" I said. "I said just leave!" He said louder this time. I gave a confused expression. "Just go find Trey, we're done" he said still heavily breathing. "Johnny what are you talking about." I asked. "We're done okay...I don't wanna be with you anymore." He told me. "Johnny is this because of what just happened because that wasn't my fault!" I yelled. "No it's not...CJ just go please." He said, his voice getting more stern. "Fine" I said and ran away. I didn't even know where I was running. My eyes began to fill with tears. Then suddenly I ran into something. Oh crap was all I could think.
