It had been almost two weeks since Noah had moved in and for Alina they were  the longest weeks of her life. Although Noah hardly ever stayed at the apartment for longer than five minutes, somehow it was enough time for him to make Alina regret the moment she agreed to this whole roommate situation.

Generally they didn't see each other all that much, which was a good thing for them both. But when they had no other choice but to interact with each other, Noah would make it his life's purpose to be as annoying as humanly possible.

And on top of everything else when he came back every night he was accompanied by a different girl. All of them drunk. All of them barbies.

So for Alina things weren't going smooth. Every time, she had to find different ways to prevent herself from killing Noah in cold blood. Or pay someone to do it for her. The breathing exercises were hardly reliable anymore and the - count- to- ten- system was starting to loose its effectiveness.

So with Stella gone, she had only Maggie to complaint to. Of Course there were her parents too, but given the fact  that Alina hadn't yet told them that she was living with a boy, that option wasn't really approachable.

She was taking a walk at the park,Debra guiding her, trying to get away from her flat and Noah. She started to miss the time when Noah was nothing more than a faceless name and the brother of her best friend who was away for work. Well technically, he was still faceless, but now she had to deal with all of his disturbing habits.

"How the hell am I going to keep this up?" She murmured to herself with a deep sigh. It was getting really tiring, trying to understand and accept his weird and unbearably noisy ways. But it was something she had to do. She had two months ahead of her and she had decided to make the best out of it.

Well, at least she'd try to.

With another sigh she stood up from the bench she was sitting and whistled. She heard Debra run towards her and putting on her harness, they started heading home.

-------

The first thing she heard once she had entered her apartment were loud thumps accompanied by an unbearable noise. The first, she managed to understand ,were footsteps, Noah's footsteps who was most likely dancing across the room. The second (which made her ears bleed and her brain shrivel up inside her head) was in fact, music.

She removed her boots sighing and reminding herself that she must stay positive. And so, she let Debra free and stepped into the living room, heading directly towards her radio. As soon as she reached it and found the off button she pressed it and the noise that tortured her ears for the last five seconds disappeared.

She let her shoulders relax and turned around heading to the kitchen. The dancing footsteps had died along with the music and Alina just knew that Noah was glaring at her ever since she pressed the button. That only made her smile in amusement.

"You know," Noah said after a while. "you're so fucking annoying."

Alina snorted.

"You know, I actually don't care."

"Yeah, I thought so."  Noah said and then she heard him crash into the couch.

"No offense," she started saying once she had finished making her afternoon tea."but tell me, how many twenty-six-year-olds do you know that jump up and down like confused pigeons whenever that noise, that you consider music, comes up?"

Noah stayed silent for a bit before he answered.

"Actually that's called dancing. You know, the thing young people do when they want to have fun?" He emphasised on the word young so that she wouldn't miss the hint.
