Alina woke up first. She stretched her arms with a loud groan and then started waving them around trying to figure out where she was. She knew she wasn't on her bed. Touching the fabric near her, she realised it was her couch.

A more thorough research made it clear that Stella was sleeping next to her, if she wasn't mistaking her best friend with Debra. She was quite sure it was her though.

"Stells." She said nagging at her shoulder. Stella just mumbled something in her sleep and moved. Alina placed both of her hands on what felt like Stella's belly. She hoped it was. Either way, she placed her hands there and started tickling her friend, which resulted in Stella stepping out of the couch in an uproar of kicks and screaming pleads.

"NO LIN! OKAY IM FUCKING AWAKE SEE?! NO Tickling! I'M BEGGING YOU!!"

Alina was laughing hard by the time Stella calmed down and was able to sit next to her on the couch. She gave her a glare Alina couldn't see.

"You're a monster Harper." Stella said. Alina raised her eyebrows smiling.

"I can't help it." She said. " It's in my nature."

"It's in your nature my ass." Stella hissed. "You don't get to torture people just cause you're blind."

Alina laughed.

"It does give you some kind of privilege." She said.

"Speaking from experience, " Stella said with a grumpy voice. "It does."

"Okay grumpy pants. Its time for breakfast." Alina said and stood up. Debra, who had woken up some time ago, followed her to the kitchen with Stella right behind them.

"I swear to God this dog doesn't like me." Stella said as she watched Debra circling happily around Alina.

"You know, " Alina said with a sly smile. "They do say that animal instincts are rarely wrong. This should tell you something."

Stella laughed and turned to her friend.

"I don't like you." She said with an annoyed voice making Alina snort.

After breakfast Alina went to Stellas apartment with her so she could help her with some last minute preparations. She was leaving in three days and Noah was supposed to come that evening. Alina was really worried about the whole roommate situation but she said nothing to Stella. Her friend was so excited about her journey to Africa, that she couldn't possibly be the reason for more stress.

Her apartment was a complete mess. Boxes were standing one on top of the other in every corner of the place and the only thing resembling a bead was the couch, on top of which lay different layers of clothes and bags. Of Course, Alina couldn't understand the extend of the chaos that unfolded before her. She couldn't see but she knew Stella well enough to know what was going on in her flat.

"So" Alina said while she was trying to find somewhere to sit. "Is there anything I should know about that brother of yours? Cause you know, we are gonna live together for two months so..."

Stella guided Alina to a chair that was nearby and only when she sat down did she decide to answer.

"Well, "she said with pretend indifference. "You know. He's really not that interesting. I mean he's like any other guy. There's really not much to tell."

"Okay." Alina folded her hands on her lap. "Now tell me the truth." Stella gave her a guilty glance.

"And they say blind people can't see." She said with a defeated voice. "But that really was the truth." She took a minute to think before continuing. "If you exclude the part about him being a total man- whore, who's constantly womanizing every female with big boobs and a huge ass and on top of that managing to be a gigantic jackass with a complete lack of common sense, responsibility, manners and a decent vocabulary, " she stopped for a second to catch her breath before speaking again. "Then yeah. He's one hell of an older brother."
