Hidden Romance

~Four

After my last class let us all out, I dropped everything off at my locker and headed for the parking lot.

I looked for Chloe and her friends but when I found Chloe, she was alone.

"Hey" I say, "you wanted to talk?" I asked.

"Yea, can I give you a lift while I ask you something?" She smiles.

I nod, and we get into her nice little black car.

"You live in the house at the end of Roset street right?" She asks.

"Yes, how'd you know that?" I ask.

"Because that house has finally been sold after 25 years!"

"What? Why hasn't it been sold before that?"

"Because of the Betty Sole Case."

"The Betty what?" I ask confused.

"The Betty Sole Case. It was a murder case. But 25 years ago, A woman named Betty Sole had her grand kids over for a weekend, and one night during that weekend, she went all crazy and murdered her grandkids and hid their bodies in the attic. When the mother of the kids came to get them, she walked in and saw that Betty hung herself in the basement and then the police discovered the bodies in the attic hours later."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. When we pulled in my drive way, I pointed at my house, "this house?" I asked.

She nodded, "and I thought, driving you home would give us time to talk about it and I could see what the house looked like on the outside."

I smiled, "wanna look around inside?"

She looked over at me and smiled, "seriously?"

"Why not?" I laughed.

"Okay" she laughed as well.

We walked into the house and took off our shoes.

"Where's your parents?" She asked.

"Who knows." I sighed.

I told her she could look around and I would follow her. And we did just that.
She told me about what everything looked like in the photos in each room.

After we looked everywhere on the first floor, we went into my room to use my laptop and look up the pictures.

The pictures were horrible. Then they showed pics of the attic and everything.

"'Maybe some of that lady's stuff is still in the attic!" She lightened up.

"When I went up there yesterday, there were a few boxes." I said looking up at her.

"Do you think that your parents will Mind us going up there and looking around?"

"My parents gave me the attic." I laughed.

"That's amazing!" She smiled, "how about this weekend, we go up there and investigate!"

"Sounds like a plan." I laughed.

She told me she had to go, so I walked her out and watched as she drove away from my house.

I walked back up to my room and started getting ready for the rest of the week.

This week would be long, but I know it would be amazing as long as I grew closer to Chloe and her friends.

And this weekend, will be interesting.
