Hidden Romance

~Fourteen

I honestly had no idea where she was taking me. But if I had to guess, I'd say a restaurant or something.

As I predicted, she pulls into the parking lot of a fancy restaurant.

As I unbuckle my seatbelt, Chloe skips over to my side of the car and opens the car door for me.

I smile getting out, and kiss her on her cheek. She was so sweet.

I grabbed her hand and we made our way to the front of the restaurant.

It looked so pretty out, it was dark out, and the lights on the trees and around the building made it look just amazing.

We walked in and the waiter got us a nice table by a window.

We both ate and we spent the rest of the time chatting. Small talk about school, college, and friends.

"Do you plan on telling your parents anytime soon?" She asks me changing the subject.

"Sorry?" I ask.

"About us." She says, "are you gonna tell them?"

"I mean we've just started dating." I say looking at her, "I don't junk it's appropriate. They don't even know I'm gay Chloe!"

She just nods, I could tell she was a little disappointed. But I mean it's my choice. I'll tell them when I'm ready.

After talking for awhile, we head outside.

Just as we were about to approach the car, she grabs my hand.

She pulls me in a different direction until I see where she's going.

There was a lit up path with candles and the trees had all these pretty lights in them. The path went in a circle so it would take us right back to the parking lot.

We start slowing walking down it holding hands. About half way down the path she stops, and looks at me.

"I love you." She tells me.

"What?" I say. "We've only been dating for like a day Chloe!"

"I've loved you for a long time." She tells me.

I kiss her on the lips, "you're crazy."

We finish walking the path, and get into her car.
Driving through the city, we see people closing their shops up.

She quickly parks her car and runs over to this Christmas store.

I get out and follow her really confused.

"Chloe!" I say when I see her inside, "what are you doing?" I ask.

"We both have presents for each other... With no tree." She smiles.

We go through the store and find a really small, green, cute, fake tree.

We buy it and a package of bulbs to put it on the tree, as well as lights and a star.

We put everything we buy in the car and we finally drive back to my house.

SMASH!

"Goodness Sam!" She laughs, "that's the third bulb that you've broken already!"

"They just don't like me, do they?"
I laugh getting irritated at the bulbs.
Every time I'd put it on the tree, they'd fall! And some, I accidentally stepped on.
