Hidden Romance

~Seventeen

"Ready?" Chloe asked me in her car.

"Ready." I tell her.

It was finally May, the months were spent working, doing school work and spending time with Chloe.

Graduation was in about a week, and I couldn't wait. My mom and dad called off work that day so that they could go.

Me and Chloe now have been dating for 5 months. And it's been amazing.

Today was the day that I planned to tell my parents about me and Chloe.

Chloe dropped me off right after school and drove to work.

I was now waiting on he porch, deciding if this is what I wanted to do.

They'd find out sooner or later anyways, so what was the point in hiding it from them?

I walked inside and went into the dining room where my mom
And dad were having tea.

"I need to talk to you guys."
I said.

They gestured me to sit, and I did just that. I sat exactly in front of them both.

"Well?" My mother asked.

"I'm gay." I finally spit out.

They didn't say anything, they just looked at me.

"Me and Chloe have been dating for 5 months now.." I didn't know how else to say it.

My mom and dad both looked at each other with no emotion. Just straight faces.

My mom nodded and looked down at the table.

"You have one week to get everything of yours out of here, or we are throwing it all outside." My father said, "and don't come back."

I was broken.

My own parents!

I quickly got up, and ran out of he house.

Chloe's house was 5 minutes from here driving and probably double that by walking. Luckily I had a car.

As I drove to her house, I felt tears forming in my eyes.

And as soon as I reached her front door, her mother walked out and suddenly hugged me.

"Oh darling!" She said, "what's wrong!"

I tell her everything and cry in her arms. I felt rejected by my own parents. The people who gave birth to me, raised me and loved me....

After talking with her for a bit, I walked into Chloe's room and crashed onto her bed.

I woke up to the door being open. I saw as Chloe come in and hugged me.

"I'm so sorry!" She tells me. I smile instantly seeing her.

We talk for a bit and waited.
We waited until about midnight to sneak into my house and start early getting my stuff.

We started with the attic first, since it would take longer. We took the tv, futon, and half of everything and put it in her car. And put the other half of the stuff in my car.

Since we didn't have room for all of this in her house, Chloe took us to their storage unit 15 minutes away from their house.

We set everything in there and then went back for my bedroom stuff and did exactly the same with that.

It took hours, but we finally got all of it put away.

Both the attic and my bedroom, were now bare.
