Crystal opened her eyes to find herself lying on her work desk. 'Damn, I must have fallen asleep'. She then stared outside to find that clouds were starting to turn grey and formed together in the sky.
"Crystal" Professor Oak emerged from his office. "I suggest you go home now, before the rain starts. You can take your work with you if you want, or you can have a break. You deserve one." he smiled.
Crystal smiled weakly. "Maybe."
She gathered up her books and started walking along the side walk back to her home. 'Life's become... Boring and meaningless lately' she sighed mentally.
Just as she thought it couldn't get worse the rain started. It came down slowly at first, but then it got worse. Much worse.
"Why now? Why me?" Crys groaned to the heavens. She stared down at the path infront of her.
Suddenly the rain stopped falling on her. She looked up surprised only to crash her eyes with golden ones.
"Yo Super Serious Gal!" Gold smirked with a wink, holding the umbrella over her head. She groaned, 'Why him?'
"Hi."
"So what's a SSG like you doing walking in the rain?" Gold asked raising an eyebrow.
"For your information I was going home! Prof. Oak gave me a day off. So I didn't really know what to do..." I drifted off when Gold chuckled.
"I'll take you home c'mon.' Gold grinned. Crystal smiled slightly and nodded.
They both continued to walk closely under the umbrella together back to Crystal's house. Just walking in silence, comfortable in their company.
After about 20 minutes they arrived at Crystal's front door. "Thanks Gold."
He just smirked and kissed her lightly, putting a hand through her hair, then walking back down the path of her house.
"Bye Gold!" Crys shouted.
"Later, Crystal." Gold called back. She gasped. 'Thats the first time he's called me Crystal.'
Maybe rainy days weren't so bad after all?
