The raven haired heiress was wandering through her large Sinnoh mansion, popping her head around doorframes occasionally and searching the rooms with her silvery orbs. Watching her curiously, was her hyperactive blond friend, Pearl.
Deciding her behaviour was too weird to observe any longer, he spoke up, "Platinum. What are you doing?"
She turned around in shock, previously unaware of his presence. "Have you seen Diamond recently?"
"Why?"
"I asked you first," she replied stubbornly. He sighed.
"He went out to stock up the fridges. Now answer my question."
"W-well.... I wanted to ask him something," she replied nervously before quickly adding, "b-but it does not matter now! I shall ask him when he returns."
Pearl simply raised an eyebrow as he stared intensely at her. She was blushing, something he hadn't seen her do before, and he decided it looked rather good on her. Anything was better than her cold, judging stare that she reserved especially for him.
"Why can't you just ask me instead?" He finally spoke up. If it was even possible, Platinum appeared even more nervous. "I cannot."
"It can't be that ba-"
"No."
"Look, just get it ov-"
"No."
"Is it rude?" He asked, eyes widening at the thought.
"N-no, of course not you imbecile! I just wanted to know what a.... a kiss was."
Pearl paused. 'Wat.' How could she not know? She's read plenty of books right? Ok, ok he knew they were all non-fiction and she had a very proper upbringing. She's probably never been allowed to date a boy. Hasn't her father ever kissed her on the head before sending her off to bed or school, though? Pearl thought at bit more. 'It doesn't seem like she's very close with her father.... has no one ever kissed her before?' He felt a wave of guilt as he thought back on all those kisses he'd rejected from his mum out of embarrassment, when Platinum didn't have anyone who cared enough about her to show her any warm affections.
'That explains why she's so stuckup..'
Platinum cleared her throat, trying to regain his attention. He sighed, "look, I can't really explain it to you," he started, walking over to the slightly shorter female,"but I can show you."
And with that he leaned down, pressing his lips against the heiress' softly and fleetingly before pulling back to stare at her shocked expression.
"That's a kiss." He quickly walked away, leaving the girl frozen for a few moments before turning to rush after the flustered boy.

Does anyone ever wonder if Platinum received any love from anyone as a child? Her mother is never introduced and her father is practically never there. She must have been lonely growing up....
