Platinum scowled as she followed the hyper-active blonde up the snowy track. "Why am I doing this? This is for commoners!"
"What did ya say?" Pearl asked, looking back at the heiress.
"Nothing." She replied with gritted teeth.
"Whatever." He mumbled.
After walking for what seemed to Platinum like forever, they finally reached a place to stay for the night. It was a shaded spot underneath a few trees, not far from a lake.
"At least we have water." Pearl smiled, nodding his head towards the lake a few yards away.
"Mm." Platinum huffed, turning away from Pearl.
"Aw, come on Platz, don't be like this! Camping is fun!" Pearl exclaimed.
She narrowed her eyes. "Fun... Fun? You call this fun?!" It took her a few seconds after speaking for her to turn the colour of roses.
'Did... Did he call me Platz?' No. She must have mistaken, but just to be sure...
"You just called me Platz."
"Yes, I did."
Her eyes widened, this wasn't their usual routine. He would deny! Not admit!
"Whatever." She turned climbed into her sleeping bag and turned onto her side to sleep.
"Pssssst, Missy, wake up." Pearl whispered in said girl's ear, making her jump.
"Jeez, Pearl." She mumbled, sitting up in her sleeping back. She felt a hint of blush when she saw how much closer Pearl's sleeping bag was to hers.
"C'mon, look at the stars they're beautiful." He looked up and she looked up as well.
"Wow~" She smiled.
"Yeah, look there are loads of stars, constellations, even planets and I love you." Pearl exclaimed.
"Yeah!" She chirped. "Aweso- say wha?" She blinked.
Pearl turned pink. "D-Did u just say that you love me?" Platinum asked, ignoring the sudden chill that came over them.
He looked into her eyes slowly and nodded. Right then, Platinum thought she saw the whole universe inside of Pearl's eyes. "Same."
She quickly pecked him on the mouth before returning her eyes to the sky, grinning widely.
'Ya know, I think I could deal with this more often.' She giggled and while Pearl was distracted, grabbed his hand.
She thinks she's found a brand new way to enjoy the outdoors, especially with her favourite guy!
