Blue's silvery high heels went 'clink clonk' against the freshly polished dance floor.
Tonight was a ball to celebrate Professor Oak's brand new revealing of the Kalos Region Research Project. All the PokéDex holders were invited and a certain brunette was making her way across the ballroom floor to the balcony outside.
To her surprise somebody she hasn't seen in a long time was leaning casually against the balcony railings. He was wearing a black suit with a silk green dress shirt and black tie. He looked smart from head to toe. She smirked.
"Hey Green." Blue said, catching said boy's attention. He turned around slowly to face her. 'He looks as emotionless as always' Blue thought with amusement.
"Hi Blue." He spoke in monotone.
"Why aren't you in there enjoying the party?" Blue asked curiously.
"I could ask you the same thing."
"We'll I asked you first." Blue countered. Green sighed and looked at the stars.
"It's boring in there. Besides, I don't ....." Blue raised an eyebrow urging him to continue. He sighed again. "I don't know how to dance."
"Really?" Blue asked with surprise. A lightbulb turned on somewhere as an idea popped into Blue's head. "Say, why don't I teach you?"
"No." Green answers almost instantly. Blue huffed.
"C'mon! Pleaaaaaase? I'll bore you until the end of eternity if you don't let me!"
"You will anyway."
"Please!?"
"..... Fine."
Blue grinned with triumph. She grabbed his hand and placed it on her waist and put her other hand in his other hand. They started to slowly move with the music flowing from inside.
It seemed like time had stopped as they danced. It seemed, Blue thought, that Green was a quick learner for everything as he took the lead. Their faces got closer and Blue could feel Green's breath on her face.
Before either one of them could comprehend what was going on their lips had connected in a soft kiss. It was short but sweet.
"I love you." Blue whispered.
"I know." Green whispered back and their dance turned into a hug.
Right now, Blue was glad that Professor Oak had talked her into learning to dance. Although, she couldn't understand why he had suggested it....
But it was true what he said;
