Chapter Four; Moving On..

Hailies P.O.V

-One Week Later-

Its been a week since I met the six boys. Lewis, I found out, wasn't an angel. Well, not a regular one. He was a gaurdian angel but wasn't assigned to anyone yet.

Akile was a reguler angel, and kept other angels in line.

Finn wasn't an angel, period. In fact, he was a lost soul. He had met Shane and he let Finn stay ever since.

Wayne? He was a gaurd of the golden gates. That meant he said who and who couldn't get inside heaven.

 Eli was the angel that tracked every person that became an angel, amd what they were assigned to.

Shane? Well, I haven't figured it out yet. He keeps bothering me, that's for sure!

"Just tell me, Fay!" He said as he flew backwards, facing me.

"Tell you what," I smirk as I pick up pace on walking. "I have no idea what you're talking about!"

"Dude, if the girl doesn't know, she DOES NOT know!" Tristan barges into the conversation and I smile a thank you.

Eli walks close to me, our hands brushing as he talks to Akile. I look at him quickly before shuffling away slightly.

"She does though!" I shake my head as Tristan and Shane argue. I sigh and walk ahead of them all. Finn was flying straight forward, ignoring us all. Same with Neil. I shrug and keep my head down as my feet crunch on the red ground and sand.

"Where exactly are we?" I ask and turn to face the six.

"Devils town," Eli answered quickly and bluntly before turning back to Akile. Well then...

"Its a town of devils?" I ask. Akile stops the conversation and shakes his head as he watches me.

"Its like the... Mini hell in the ghost world. Many people have lived here and left, mainly finding hell on the way. Most are forced."

"So, a waiting room for Satan?" I say with raised eyebrows. He nods and I roll my eyes.

"That's what the city of angels is like," Akile compares the two. "Just for heaven."

"Oh, interesting." I nod as we continue walk in silence.

I kept my eyes on the red sand as people were being 'evicted' from their homes. Many faught back but failed in the process.

"Hailie!" I hear a shout but I don't reply. "Princess Hailie! Please, help me!"

I don't look up, but clench my jaw as tears fill my eyes. Though these people have done sins, this is just horrible...

I feel a hand lace itself with mine I look up to find Eli holding it. His eyes lock on mine and I smile at him weakly. He keeps me close as the boys make a circle around me.

"What are angels doing here!?" A loud, boisterous voice shouts and we stop walking. We turn to them and I see the half man half goat.

His beard was long and he was bald with horns coming from his head. His face wore a scowl as his muscular arms clenched.

"Angels," He huffs and clicks over on his hooves. "Who do you honestly think yah are, huh!? Runnin' into my area!? Yah must be crazy!"

"Sir, we don't want trouble," Shane says calmly. "We're just showing this lost soul the way around this world. That's all."

"Yah all goodies," He waves us off. "Get otta here before I kick yah to Texas!"

Eli picks me up bridal style and the boys fly quickly from the scene. I cling to him, never being so high in the sky before.

"Relax," He whispers as he lands on a tree in the forest. "Its okay."

"Its getting late," Akile say as they land on near by trees. "Take a rest.Eli, stay with Fay."

Later that night, everyone was asleep. I layed next to Eli, unmoving as I stared at the star filled sky above me. Owls hooted, crickets sung, frogs croaked, and the wind rung in my ears as it made the leaves ruffle.

It was so peaceful, so peaceful that you wanted to stay up woth nature and just listen...

And that's what Im doing.

"I don't understand you," I hear his voice say. I don't reply to him, hoping he would think Im asleep. "You're looking for someone who died, who can't come back."

"It isnt just one person," I whisper lowly. "Its six. My nan, my four friends, and boyfriend..."

"Sometimes, you need to get over it," He mumbles to me. "Move on..."

"Not a damn chance." I hiss back.
