Hailies P.O.V
I open my eyes and look aroud, somewhat distraught before memories fill my brain. I sigh and try to sit up. Try I did, but I failed.
My body tenses as I feel the arm around my waist. I blink and look behind me slowly, clenching my fist. I see Eli and sigh in relief.
It wasn't that I trusted him, because I don't, but Im glad its someone I atleast know...
"Go back to bed," His morning voice filled my ears as he snuggles closer into my back. I scoot away and forcefully remove his arm. "Its not even morning."
"Correction," I say firmly as I stand on the the thick branch. "Its noon." He groans as I jump from the tree and land on the ground, perfectly, with a thud.
I look up to find him staring down at me with wide eyes and I shrug. I look back ahead of me and start to walk as I hear a thud of wings against the cooling wind. I sneak a peak over my shoulder to find Eli following close behind.
"What is this place?" I ask as I stop at the beginning of a clearing.
"The place where all lost souls find themselves. But it happens at a certain time." He answers as he leans against the tree to my right.
"Every lost soul?" I ask and raise an eyebrow. He shrugs.
"Not every lost soul," He states clearer. "But a lot."
I nod and look at the field infront us. I feel his hand grasp mine firmly and I look to him already watching me. He gives a gentle smile and I do the same.
"What are you looking at?" I raise an eyebrow teasingly and he chuckles. His arm wraps around my waist and pulls me into his side. Though I should've objected, I didn't. It felt so nice to be hugged after almost a year of nothing from a long gone Harry.
I needed the comfort, the love (friendly or not), and the support. I needed someone to lead me on the right track, to pull me back when I took one step down the wrong one.
Harry, ever since we met, was that one. But maybe, just maybe, I could have another one to that.
And maybe that one could be Eli...
