Chapter 6 - Together

Hey guys hope you are enjoying  this story thanks for 100 reads you guys are awesome I hope you know that I am very excited for this story sorry I haven't updated but I have been REALLY busy

Ok but now without further ado here is the next chapter.....

Maya was going to be okay, I was feeling so genuinely happy, we were all celebrating, then the doctor came back to us "Maya is stable, and you can now visit her, but please only one person at a time." The doctor told us before leaving the waiting area once more.

Maya's mom went in first and came back with a relieved smile which brought me peace, then I decided to go, I walked into Maya's room and she was laying on the hospital bed, the first thing I did was hug her, the type of hug that you never want to stop.

"Lucas, thank you for saving me." Maya said with a small smile as she held him."Well it was my pleasure ma'am "I said laughing as she pulled from my embrace but held onto my hand.

"Maya I need to confess something, I-I love you." I said stuttering, her smile grew wide and she kissed me, she actually kissed me.

We pulled back. "I love you too, huckleberry." Maya said with a smile she couldn't contain, then Riley came in and asked if she could be with Maya, she looked a little pale, but I smiled and left.

Maya

I woke up and saw that I was in a hospital bed suddenly all the memories came rushing back.

The first person to walk into my room was my mom. "Oh baby, I was so worried about you." She said and I could see the tears in her eyes. "I'm stronger than I look mom, I get that from you." I told her with a small smile.

She told me I was lucky to have a guy like Lucas as my friend and I smiled, she left and then came Lucas, he hugged me and I hugged back, happy to finally see him.

"Lucas, thank you for saving me." I said,  couldn't suppress the small smile that came to my lips as soon as I said his name. "Well it was my pleasure ma'm." He said laughing as I pulled away from his embrace but holding onto his hand instead.

Then his face turned serious, I got a bit scared fearing something had happened.

But then he became shy. "Maya I need to confess something, I-I love you." He said, I couldn't believe it, I started to smile wide and then I kissed him.

Then we pulled back. "I love you too huckleberry" I said smiling like I hadn't smiled in so long.

Then Riley came in, I noticed that she wasn't alright but then she asked Lucas if she could talk to me alone, and he smiled and left.

I could not believe what was happening to my best friend, I hope she was okay, she didn't deserve it.

So Lucas went to visit Maya and I stayed but after he took a while I decided to go take my turn, I went and I saw them laughing, I was about to go in but then I saw them kissing, yes kissing, then they pulled back, and Maya said something that caused both of them to smile.

I felt a bit of jealousy, wait what? No I couldn't, I don't like Lucas, do I? But then I walked in and asked Lucas if I could talk to Maya alone, trying to hide the shock on my face, and I hugged her, not letting go for a while

"Are you okay riles? you seem down." Maya asked with concern, she could see past her fake smile. "yeah, I was just worried about you." I said, I was never going to tell her what just happened, because Lucas and Maya were better together, better than me and Lucas, but I still can't hide my feelings well I guess excuses here I come.
