Chapter 9 - The dance

Now on with the story

Maya  P.O.V. *EDITED*

So right now I am at Riley's house getting ready, I am so excited about the fact that I am going to the dance with Lucas.

Something is still off with Riley, after the dance I will find out, I have to, she is my best friend.

I put on my makeup and my dress and look at myself in the mirror and a picture catches my attention, it's a picture of me and Riley from middle school, I look different, we look different, It's a good different though, we're older now but nothing will separate us. (A/N dress is in media the first one the theme is gala so like really fancy)

Dance and Lucas here I come.

Riley  P.O.V

I put on my makeup and dress, this was it, the day I had been dreading. (the second one in media)

I don't know if I am going to bear watching Maya and Lucas together but it's their time to shine.

For now

Wait what? No, I was not going to split them up, no she is my best friend, and I haven't seen her this happy since Shawn adopted her.

Maya came out, and she looked just wow, I have to admit I was jealous again, why does she have to look so beautiful? It wasn't fair.

We heard a knock at the door.

My dad and Shawn opened it, Shawn was here with Katy since they got married, and my mom and dad and Shawn and Katy are going on a double date to take advantage of us not being home.

They were talking about how if they hurt us blah blah.... Typical dad stuff.

So me and Maya walked downstairs and Lucas eyes widened at the sight of Maya, he didn't even glance at me not even once!

Ugh well we get in the car and Farkle smiles at me, I look away.

I still love you farkle but I also love Lucas

We get out and Lucas and Maya and me and farkle go in different directions.

Maya P.O.V

I look at Lucas, he smiles, I smile back.

I love him, I really do, I think a part of me always has, even before he left, I am really happy now nothing could ever ruin this right?

We danced, drank punch, ate, we do everything a couple at a school dance would do.

Is it just me or is Riley glaring at me? Something is definitely going on with her, but right now Lucas is leading me outside, I wonder why.

"Maya I love you, so I want to sing you this song." Lucas said smiling with genuine happiness, my eyes widened as I saw Lucas pull out a guitar from behind a bench.

He started singing a drop in the ocean. (video in media)

After he was done I ran to him and kissed him, I smiled as my eyes started to water, he made me feel like I was the most special girl in the world.

I heard footsteps, and saw Farkle walking towards Riley, she looked mad, wait not mad, I mean furious and if my eyes don't deceive me, jealous.

Riley, I am going to find out what is going on here as soon as we get to your house.

Riley

I saw everything that happened, the love confession, the song , the kiss.

I don't know what Came over me, I was furious and jealous, Lucas went to go get Farkle and Maya looked at me.

"What is wrong riles? you are not acting like you, is something bothering you?" Maya asked, concerned as she walked over to me, putting her arms on my shoulders, ugh I couldn't help it anymore I had to let it out.

"Yes something is wrong with me! You get the guy that I like! You get the looks! Everything is always perfect fro you!" I shouted as took a step back from her, I felt furious.

"That is not true! You had a perfect family, love, and everything, and you had a dad for all of your life! and I barely got a new house and complete family." She said, she looked  truly hurt.

"A House?! It's closer to a mansion! Stop acting so innocent, and leave my Lucas alone!" I said shouting louder this time

I don't know if it was the jealousy that I had been keeping in, but I slapped her, hard, I left a mark, I felt so bad.

"M-Maya I-I am so sorry." I said but she had run off crying, probably to go find Lucas.

My Lucas

Something was happening to me, I didn't know what it was, I was scared, it's like the jealousy was taking over me, I called my mom to come pick me up she was at the school in five minutes and we left back home.

What have I done?
