Chapter 5 - The breakup

I am SOOOOOO sorry for not writing earlier guys I have just been busy
But don't worry I am still continuing this

But now without further ado the chapter

(A/N SPOILER ALERT IN MEDIA that part broke my heart it killed me💔)

Maya pov *EDITED*

I was walking down the hallway when I was grabbed from behind, I turned around
and saw it was Justin. "Hey?" I asked confused but he just glared at me.

"Hey? that's all you have to say? really?" Asked Justin getting visibly agitated. "Well, what do you want me to say?" I asked, I could tell something was off about him, had he been drinking?

"How about I love you?" Asked Justin getting closer to me. "Why?" I asked taking a step back from him. "I knew it, you don't even love me! You love that new guy from Texas!" Justin shouted with undeniable jealousy in his voice.

"He is my bestfriend! What did you expect?"I said, I don't know why I shouted
but It felt right. "Well if he was only your best friend you wouldn't be eyeing him all the time! You're probably cheatng on me with him!" He shouted at me, this time there was more than jealousy in his eyes, there was anger, and rage. Despite the fear that had suddenly developed in the pit of my stomach I slapped him across his face hard enough to leave a mark. He cursed at me and pushed me hard into a wall, he grabbed me by the neck and I could no longer breathe, I struggled against his hold as everything started becoming blurry.

The next few things were a blur, he was shouting that we were over and tightened his hold. 
Then I saw Lucas come and punch him causing Justin to fall on the floor and release his hold on me. I felt myself fall and could see Lucas rushing to my side.

The last thing I remember hearing was "Maya! are you okay? Maya?" A voice I am pretty sure was Lucas' voice called out.

Then I blacked out.

Lucas pov

I was walking to class I was going to be So late if I didn't hurry, the tardy bell was close to ringing.

But then I heard something, it sounded like shouting, so I started running towards the noise.

Then I came just in time to see Maya being pushed against the wall and being held by her neck by Justin he was screaming and shouting to Maya that they were over and I could tell Maya was struggling to breathe.

I ran and punched him hard, he fell to the floor unconscious, and he is the captain of the football team? one punch and he was out.

But then i saw Maya she was on the floor almost unconscious so i started shouting.

"Maya? Are you okay? Maya?" I asked but she blacked out.

I shouted for help, Riley and Farkle and other students came out of their classes and when they saw me next to Maya, Justin on the floo,  and Maya unconscious they ran over to us.

"What h-happened?" Asked Riley, she was practically crying.

"I will tell you on the way, but first call an ambulance" I said urgently as I held Maya in my arms.

The ambulance arrived after about 5 minutes, I carried her bridal style to the stretcher.

We all got in the back of the ambulance, even Mr. Mathews, when we got to the hospital
they told us to wait in the waiting room and I told Riley what happened.

Then Mrs. Mathews walked In with Maya's mom, we all waited for what seemed like hours but was really only around 30 minutes.

Afterwards the doctor came in and he told us that she was going to be okay and I let out a sigh of relief, she was going to be okay and that's all that mattered.
